Hello, I live in VT and we have a town dump. I'm wondering if this is what you mean. What do you say to the workers there without sounding too pathetic-? We have a dumpster strictly for newspapers and I would need to go there just for this since I have my own trash collector that comes to my house. Thanks for insight- Jen

In our there are several places that collect newspapers for recycling. I go around town to different ones at different times to "dive" for coupons. I am not sure how your town does this but we do not have to recycle, I just do. Hope this helps you some, if not pm me and I will try to explain better.

I've wondered this myself. How do you find out where the recycling facilities are for your town? Do you call the facility and ask permission first?

In my town there is no one place to recycle. Most of the places have the dumpsters and are collecting to raise money. Yes I do recycle my papers when I dive so I am not taking away from the money they get. There are also recycle dumpsters by Kroger and Wal-mart, these are just to recycle, not raise money.
