I didnt do too much today, just the laundry soap. I did call around to some of the nearest Fry's stores, but they still don't have the lotion

Hey all... I did a small run to Fry's last night. I know they have done some major changes in the coupon policy lately, but are they not giving overage up to $1 anymore?

I got Colgate toothpaste that was on sale for $0.88 and had a $75 MQ... usually they give the bonus up to $1, but last night I only got an extra $0.13. I mean I'm thrilled with free, but have always gotten overage...

Yeah, the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I didn't know they gave overage at all. I think because the high interest in coupons now, that stores are kinda of cracking down on the policies

I've never gotten the overage at any store.
Wish I could though!

How many papers do you buy?
We have 1 delivered. Usually all the stores around me sell out by noon.
Haven't really felt the urge to go buy 1 though...not yet anyway.
I'm sure someday they'll be some real good coupons worth buying another paper, but I don't really have extra cash to spend on that right now.

Has anyone here used either that couponsthingsbydede or bliss coupons?
I haven't...again, yet. But I don't have a paypal acct and couldn't use bliss coupons anyway. Just wondering if anyone has and what the experience was like if so. Too bad I don't have paypal cause just for the fun of it last night I was comparing their prices and bliss was cheaper.

Well, I get 6 newspapers. However, when we get the redplum in the mail, I always get 10-14 extras because my neighbors donate to my cause

I havent used the clipping services, so I can't help you there. I have only traded cupies with the people on here, which is actually so awesome that I don't think Id ever use the clipping service.

Howdy guys! I just got back from shopping and I think I did alright I only spent 15.91 total on 64.76 worth of stuff! So here's what I got:

Target:
3 Tide travel size detergent .97 w/ $1 off = Free
2 Kraft dressing 1.69 w/ $1/2 trgt cupie AND $1/2 man cupie = .69 each

CVS:
3 Purex detergent 1.98 w/ $1/1 cupie = .98 each
1 Cottenelle Flush wipes 3.98 w/ FREE cupie (for signing up with cottenelle) = FREE

Fry's
Carefree panty liners .99 w/ .50 cupie (for signing up) = Free (cupie doubled)
2 Skintinmate shave cream 1.99 w/ .55/1 cupie = .99 each (cupie doubled)

Albertsons
2 Jollytime popcorn .99 each w/ $1/2 cupie = .50 each
3 Tilapia fillets 7.99 each w/ in store cupie Buy 1 get 2 free = 7.99 for three

Along with the Jollytime popcorn, I got the offer on the back that when you send it in, they give you 5.00 off in coupons. Since we love popcorn around here (see What's your favorite guilty pleasure post ) thats a good buy. I did have to go to 4 stores total, but they are in close proximity of each other (Fry's right across the street from Target) Very cool shopping trip. How did everyone else's go?

I got my envelope today!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Should I do one of those trader rating thingies? I looked at that screen but wasn't sure what to put as far as seller, trade, roak, buyer...

I did ok today, went to Walgreens and CVS. Spent a total of $13.94, saved $51.51

I do have a question though. At CVS the Covergirl make-up was B1G1 1/2 off. Well I got 2 mascaras that were on clearance. At the register it didn't take half off the 2nd one. I asked the cashier about it and told her the sale and she looked in her add and then just said, it doesn't count on clearance items. IT DOES NOT SAY THAT IN THE ADD. Don't know if she just made that up, but she insisted clearance items cannot be buy one get one 1/2 off. Did she lie to me? Should I ask their corporate about it? It would have saved me another $2.08.

I read here earlier about CVS' make-up clearance which is the only reason I went there. I could tell I missed out on some other good deals that had already been snagged off the shelves.

I would really appreciate if you did the trader thingy, you can mark it roak Good deal at CVS! I don't know about the clearance things. It seems that everystore makes up what they want, and at walgreens they do too. I was going to do something similar there, where they had the BOGO 50% off on hair color, but they happened to have the brand on clearance and I had cupies and they wouldnt let me use them I was kind of frustrated so I just said I didn't want the stuff.

To add to my trip from a previous post, I figured I went to all the stores except Safeway, and Im glad I did. I finally found the El Monterray 2pk burritos (no one else has them, only the 8pks) and used my 6 cupies that gave them to me for free, plus I got some gummie bears for free too, w/ .30/1 cupies from coupons.com. Paid .16 for the whole deal

What brand gummie bears? I look for that Q. hehe

I was wondering where I could find the 2 pk of those burritos. I bought the big bag of taquitos at Fry's last week but they didn't have any 2 pks.

I'll do your trader rating now.
Please let me know what Q's you're lookin for, whenever you think of some so I can try to return the favor.

•All coupons that state “Redeem at check stand” or “Save on this item” can be redeemed at the point of purchase.
•Catalina coupons that are refused or forgotten by the customer should be thrown away immediately. At no time may an employee keep Catalina coupons for personal use unless that employee is the customer purchasing the product that generated the Catalina coupon.
•Coupons that appear to be fraudulent must be presented to a member of management immediately. It will be the manager’s discretion as to whether or not the coupon in question will be accepted.
•Coupon refund may not exceed the price of the item including VIP discount.

The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY coupon upon view.
The store manager has the right to limit the Quantity of coupons or items used or purchased in a single transaction, by a single customer, or in a single day.

__________________________________________________ ________

So this is the most comprehensive Fry’s coupon policy I have ever seen. I am definitely bummed that they clearly state they do not double coupons that state “do not double”. It is a pet peeve of mine, however it was their general policy in the past anyway.

At least now it is clearly stated. I do prefer to have rules in black and white, it’s easy to plan your shopping trips that way!

You can also check out the Fry’s Facebook page for updated coupon policies that include special Promos, like Accepting Competitor’s Coupons or All Manufacturer’s Coupons Worth $1.

Thanks to : desert deals diva : )
frys current coupon policy can be found at desertdealsdiva. com/?p=4513 (take the space out for link to work)

Did the same thing today!!! Between both stores we would have paid $260 worth of groceries but only paid $130 or so...did okay for our first time kind of using coupons...and we bought the same stuff as you!! Now I have a question...have you looked at any sites or anything giving you a list of what "rock bottom" prices you should be paying for things?? I feel like I won't know when the rock bottom deals with be ya know??

Great job aslack! There are many forum posts on here that give rock bottom prices. I am really new to this, but have been doing tons of research on here, thecentsableshoppin site, the krazy coupon lady site, and check out coupon mom. Out of all of those, the centsable shoppin site is most accurate because the girl who runs it lives here in AZ and posts from what stores are around here.

As for rock bottom prices, here's what I have come to understand:

pasta = .25 per pkg or free
Paper towels = .50 per roll or less
toothpaste = free
deodorant = free
cereal = 1.00 is good for stocking, but there are times when you can get it for .50 each
dressing, mustards, ketchups = .40 or less
tushy tissue = i was told .01 per square foot, good luck figuring all that out, but i think if you get it for 3.99 for the doubles rolls, youre doing ok
sports drinks = .50 or less
toothbrushes = free
body wash = 1.00 depnding on the brand (if youre picky) if not, free (thats how much I paid for my 20 bottles which include Nivea and Gillete )
Hot sauce = .40 or less

That's pretty much what Ive learned so far. When it comes to Fry's you really gotta watch their ten for ten deals or mega events where you buy 10 participating items and get 5.00 off. I hope this helps!

Wand

Today was a GREAT day for me!
In total, I spent $58.06 and saved $96.69. Half of what I spent was on toys for my nephew's b-day, so I consider it great.

My first stop was CVS where I got:
1 Rimmel mascara
2 Rimmel nail polish
3 Rimmel eye-shadows
1 NYC eyeliner
1 NYC foundation
1 3pk React 5 gum
I only paid 83 CENTS for all of it! That's right, $0.83, saved 39.11 on this stuff alone. I LOVE free make-up!!!

I also got 20 more FREE packs of Carefree pantyliners. (My sister and I do use these every month, so I don't just get em cause they're free.) Sorry if TMI.

The rest of my shopping trip wasn't as big on savings, but like I said half of what I spent today was toys for my nephew's b-day. Besides those, I got 4 things of Coppertone sunblock, 2 Pup-Peroni dog treats, 100ct allergy pills and my neice 2 pairs of pants that she'll need come winter (obviously doesn't need em right now), but for $1.50 each on clearance at Wal-Mart I couldn't pass em up!

I would have gotten some free nexcare bandaids at Wal-Mart but of course they were out.

I went to Walgreens, but the Bayer aspirin was $4.49/box instead of $3.99 so I decided to pass on those for now. I may go to a different Walgreens tomorrow or Sat and see. And I have another free Tylenol Precise I need to get before this month's coupon book expires.

I need to start getting my Walgreens list ready for this Sunday. It's gonna be a great trip if it works out as I'm hoping.

Awesome Serenity!!!!

Yesterday I had to jump on the milano cookies at Fry's because they were 3/$5 but it turned out that I had $1/2 for the regular cookies, and $1/1 for the melts. Well, I got the regular cookies yesterday and Blue bunny ice cream for 1.88 at Frys (Had to use the coupon from Basha's to get that deal cuz they take competitors cupies) I couldnt find the melts at the frys next to my house, so i went to the other one today and found them. OMG you know I jumped on that Those cookies have ruined me, I dont think I can eat another brand of cookie. It's not too often we get the 5 dollar cookies for .66!

Morning All, My daughters & I got some pretty good deals yesterday, Spent 40.96 and saved 196.12. However I think it would of been better but dealt with a couple cashiers that wouldn't let us do separate transactions even though there was 3 of us...(put in a complaint on that) But we got a lot of good stuff, and got real lucky on the French's spicy mustard, we found them @ Fry's on sale for 1.49 we had the .75 that rounded to 1.00 then on the mustards they had an additional .50 off and they actually let us use both, we got 8 of them, 10 ketchup, 8 Frenchs yellow mustard, 8 KC masterpiece, 8 Jack Daniels bbq, 6 luna power bars, 6 wishbone dressing, 3 lunchables, 20 pkg hot dogs, 4 two pack burritos, 10 pizza rolls, 6 relish, 10 vitamin waters then we also had a pkg of diapers, coffee cake & cat food thrown in there
Not too bad but I still think we would of got it lower if they would of let us split stuff up

Hey Folks, had a couple of HOT HOT deals today! Went to Safeway nd they have the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce for .99!! I don't know when the cupie came out, but there are 2 different kinds that work for this. First, I believe the cupie is .75/1 Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and the second is .55/1 ANY Jack Daniels product, making these little babies F-R-E-E!!!! In Mesa, (where I happened to be at the moment) at Safeway the cashier gave me the deer in headlights look and did a long "uhhhhhhhh" when she saw that the total was .00! It was priceless!

The second deal is at Walmart. I found the Oral B Cavity manual defense tooth brushes for 1.50. Well guess what? In the P&G there is a cupie for a 1.50/1 for the pulsar, some other toothbrush, OR the Oral B manual defense, yada yada (Sometimes these products have too long of names, why can't they call it the Really cool or Really simple TB?? ) So I got those for free. I also got some more of the pronamel toothpaste (trial size), more black flag flyswatters and some Purina dog food that was on clearance for F-R-E-E! Yayy!!
