I was wondering the same thing. I tried to go to another store last sales event and none of the coupons would super dbl/triple at the second store. The manager asked me if I had used my VIC card earlier in the day and when I told her Yes, she said that's why. :confused2: Is this a YMMV or regional thing?

I thought we could only do one transaction a day too. I'm so jealous of you all that can!

It's actually really hard when you're shopping for two households, trying to keep bags straight, etc. But it is nice when I don't have to get anything for them & can use 2 cards just for me!! Maybe ask a friend, neighbor, etc if they don't use theirs often if you can borrow it just for the 1st day of the triples/super doubles events!! Can't hurt to ask!

How are you using more than 20 coupons in a day? I thought we were limited to 20 coupons per household per day.

During Triples/Super Doubles I use a bunch of HT cards:

My personal card
My work card
My assistant at work card (she won't even go near the store during this time)
My shipping assistant at work card (he doesn't use Q's at all)

So...if the deals are good I will go 4 times a day w/4 different cards. They were even so cute, they put labels on the front of the cards w/their names so I don't confuse or loose them

Find out which friends, family and co-workers that do not use Q's and borrow their cards! Just remember to return the card(s) after triples or super doubles is finished!

Have fun shopping...I can't wait to get out their today!

Did pretty good. I got a $5 off 50 from the Kmart ad I got in the mail yesterday and decided to use it. The cashier gave me hard time about it saying that they don't take those any more and that I would have use it after all the other coupons were scanned. I told her that the website said it includes local competitor circulars and direct mails for "Total off order" coupons from competitors. The bagger was much nicer and looked at my q and said he would ask the manager. Luckily he did because I'm usually shy about these things. He came back and said that I could use it.

2 Mahatma yellow rice
1 Mahatma brown rice
2 Lysol spray
1 Lysol toilet cleaner
1 Cheeze it
1 French mustard
1 Welch jelly
1 McCormick Turmeric spice
1 McCormick garlic powder
4.32 lbs of bananas (12)
2 Nature own rounds
2 Dole frozen pineapple
1 Breakstone sour cream
2 Coffeemate
2 silk milks
1 gallon HT whole milk

Total retail: $59.09
Total OOP: $9.19

My McCormick catalina did not print. I'm thinking it applied to only extracts or coloring but I might call since from what everyone else posted it was suppose to include spices.

How are you getting overage? I tried to figure this out today when the lady in front of me had $12 overage.

My stores cash registers automatically self adjust the MQs to give you the item for free. So, no overage for us. I *think* there are some areas that can get overage.

rlkim1974
03-24-2010, 11:49 AM
My coupons always adjust to the purchase price. At first, I thought that maybe she rang her coupons first so that they tripled to the higher price and then scanned her VIC card to get the sale prices. But then would the coupons have tripled before scanning her VIC card? I wanted to ask but then I did not want to cause a problem.

I had an awesome trip this AM, even though I spent $50. I got pretty much what everyone else got, but I wanted to add two more sales:

STeakum hamburgers are BOGO at $.8.95, so $4.50/ish a box.
Eddy's Fruit bars are 2/$5 (usually $4-5 range). I bought four boxes. We LOVE the strawberry kind and my kids actually eat some fruit!

I had to stop shopping because I hit my twenty Q limit. I think my son has learned to count to twenty because he hears me counting every time we go to HT doubles/triples.

I did okay. My store is cracking down on coupons that say "do not double or triple." Hmpf.

4 packets Ortega taco seasoning
1 box of Morningstar veggie sausage

1 4-pack of Philly minis light cream cheese (free q from the mail)

3 cans of Comet cleaner (not sure if this one's listed, but it's $1 -.35/1 = free)
1 pack of small Solo cups
1 jar of Bertolli pasta sauce (Kroger .50 mailer q)
1 10-pack of Reese’s cups

I messed up and didn't notice that the $0.50/1 Hefty Plates started w/a 9.

1 Reynold's Parchment Paper
3 Hefty Zoopals Plates
3 Lysol Kitchen Cleaner (most happy about this one!)
3 Mr Clean Magic Eraser (2nd most happy about this one!)
1 Solo cups in kid size (so cute, aren't they?)
3 French's yellow mustard
2 French's spicy brown
1 French's honey mustard
1 Suave deodorant

I was running errands afterwards so I had to skip the refrigerated stuff and since my Hefty coupons didn't triple, I still have more to triple today.

Find out which friends, family and co-workers that do not use Q's and borrow their cards! Just remember to return the card(s) after triples or super doubles is finished!

Have fun shopping...I can't wait to get out their today!

No disrespect intended, but HT has made it clear the terms and conditions of having a card and shopping triples. Uing 4 different cards from 4 different people for our own personal shopping is way too far from those conditions for me to even consider going there. :(

No disrepct taken; I don't feel guilty. I ask if they are using their card, answer is no...great then I have a valid card in my hand of someone who isn't going to use their "right" of 20 triple/super double Q's.

BTW...I stockpile very LITTLE and donate almost everything I buy! Couponing is my hobby, cost me little and I feel great about what I do (donating).

I have 3 different cards we use during triples/super doubles.

1. Mine
2. My inlaws....they gave me their key dangly one as they NEVER do coupons
3. My parents...I just go to U-scan and type in their phone #. They coupon OCCASSIONALLY so I check with them to make sure they're not using it that day. U might want to try using the phone # option rather than borrowing cards. Much easier.:smile:

Not pictured is 2 loaves of bread (dh already opened one to make a sammich and put the other one in the freezer lol) and one old orchard apple juice... must have fallen out in the car under a seat or something because i didn't put it away.

How are you getting overage? I tried to figure this out today when the lady in front of me had $12 overage.

Barilla at my store is still on sale for 4/$5 but each coupon takes off $1.59 so I get for each coupon $0.34 overage! HTH

Myself and two friends went and got three buggies FULL of stuff and our total OOP was $39! And at the Harper Commons HT in W-S, the Ortega .75/2 magically did NOT beep. Got 6 taco seasoning packets! The cashier was amazed it didn't beep either, lol.

Saw a fellow couponer whose binder had this written across the front... "Donna's Stimulus Package" :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Hope there's some things left tomorrow!

1 diamond sea salt
2 honest kids pack drinks
2 skinny water
1 frenchs mustard
2 coffeemate
1 gold medal flour
2 honest ade singles
1 crystal sugar
2 natures own bread
2 newmans own dressings ($1.99 clearance)
2 country crock
2 smart balance butter

total was $5.81 but they gave me $5.61 back in cash at the CS desk because the honest kids rang up at $4.25 instead of $3 (tag was still there but ended 3/23 and I did not notice the date). Have no idea how they came up with $5.61 to give me back but I was psyched to get all of that for 20 cents!!

Some things I haven't spotted mentioned:

Stonyfield yogurts are 0.50 each. I used 2 IPs from stonyfield.com to get 6 free.

Wholly Guacamole, the small packs, on sale for $1.79 at our store. 0.79 isn't nearly as good as free, but if you haven't been able to get some for free before and have those Qs to use up before 3/31, it might be a decent deal. I picked up a few--I prefer free, but we probably use a pack a week, and I only managed to get 7 last time around.

Bought Almond Almond Milk with a $1 peelie and got a catalina for free Silk Almond Milk.

Goldfish are free with 2 0.75 IPs I got off coupons.com. (I think! I don't have another copy to say for sure now, and I don't know if they're still up.)

Other things I got: Vanilla, Nature's Own Bagels, Sandwich Rounds, & Bread, Gold Medal flour, eggs, Breakstone sour cream, Yoplait Greek Yogurt (not sure 0.29 is a good price for this after all the free yogurt lately, but I wanted to try it).

OOP was 17.07--very happy with what I ended up with for that!

I am updating this at the beginning to say that for some reason I got a Catalina coupon for a free Air Wick Scented Oil Warmer/Refill, but have no idea why. I'll be sure to use it tomorrow if they aren't out of stock!!

Here's what I got today:

2 bags McCain frozen sweet potato fries (last 2 McCain products in my store)

Danactive yogurt

Hormel cooked chicken strips (they had a $1.50 HT clearance sticker on them and I had a manufacturer's coupon so they ended up being 50 cents)

2 boxes Kellogg's Chocolate Mini Wheats Cereal (used a $1.50 off 2 coupon, so wasn't tripled of course)

3 French's yellow mustard

2 Oral-B toothbrushes

2 Solo cups

1 Chinet Coffee Comfort cups

Lysol Cling toilet cleaner

Lysol all-purpose cleaner

2 - Joy diswashing liquid

Diamond sea salt

Kashi cereal (had a free coupon for this that I didn't even know I had)

2 - KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce

Sunburst detergent

I don't remember my total before coupons because I had my kids with me and they were in a hurry to get out of there. Here's what my receipt says:

Coupons tendered - $56.79
Total Vic Savings - $16.13

Total due - $8.69

Sally
03-24-2010, 08:18 PM
It's actually really hard when you're shopping for two households, trying to keep bags straight, etc. But it is nice when I don't have to get anything for them & can use 2 cards just for me!! Maybe ask a friend, neighbor, etc if they don't use theirs often if you can borrow it just for the 1st day of the triples/super doubles events!! Can't hurt to ask!

I was told by corporate that it was against HT policy to use 2 cards even when buying for a family member during a coupon event. I personally made the phone call because our store would not allow it. My husband has a terminal illness and I have someone sit with him while I go to HT, I wanted to use her card for her while I was there, they will not allow it and if a store does they are going against the corporate policy.

Awesome job! Does your store allow more than 3 coupons per product? I see that you had 10 bumble bee packs, and just wondered. Lucky if you are able to do that! My store only allows for 3 per same item.

Oh, and do you know what triggered your $1.50 oyno? Thanks so much!

:)

first transaction

4 frenchs mustards
5 bbq sauces
2 lysol cleaning supplies
2 mccormick extracts
5 hotpockets slideshots
2 barilla whole wheat pasta
3 packs strawberries
1 milk (cause my husband called and said i needed to get it right then as i was finishing)
oop $11 and got a 1.50 on your next order

second transaction
10 bumble bee tuna pouches
5 frenchs mustard (after all this mustard if my husband goes through it again I may pull my hair out!)
5 barilla whole wheat pasta
oop .31 cents

I have 20 .50 cents off any 20 or 24 oz coke coupons so I plan on getting 20 free cokes and I still have 20 mission tortilla coupons and 10 more bumble bee coupons that I want to use up on my next trips

I figure by the time i get back to the store the tuna will be gone but they dont expire til end of may if i remember correctly, luckily though the coke coupons are not a common coupon so I have no one to compete with for those.

Evidently there aren't many triple shoppers at my HT, because the cashier and manager were pretty clueless. They had to ring my cart 2 times, because none of my coupons tripled the first time!! The manager told me I am only allowed to use 3 "Lysol" coupons in one trip, regardless of types of products!!

VIC savings - $24.84
Q savings - $58.09
OOP - $17.71 (higher than I thought it should be, but wasn't going to ask for it to be rang a third time!)

on a side note - got the TS1 & 2 for only $14.63 @ Target :)

Triples should be fun -but when people cicumvent the rules and I show up to a store with cleared shelves I'm not having a good time.

Well to me it is alike. So I guess we can break some rules and brag about it but not others.

And anyways, I dislike both meatloaf & polka music.

I'm the one who posted I have 2 cards and borrow 2 cards...So, if what I am doing is wrong (donating) then when you use the $.55 Reese Q on regular versus dark that isn't wrong? That is not something I would do because that is coupon fraud! :confused2:

Really, I'm NOT cleaning shelves! I will only use 3 like MFQ's; if I even had 4 sets that would be 12 items, correct? I've noticed some people that have purchased 20 of one item...wouldn't that be clearing the shelves? :confused2: I only receive 2 papers a week, that's it, so really how can I be clearing the shelves? I don't go to HT 4 x a day for 7 days, not enough time, coupons, energy or money! :eek2:

I guess you don't donate much or feed another family (besides your own). As I stated before, I have VERY LITTLE stockpile and do not feel guilty.

I love meatloaf & polka music

Happy tripling

all of the drama belongs in the controversy corner - not Here, where people are coming to post their deals. Let's just concentrate on sharing some good deals so that we can help others - THAT'S what THIS thread is supposed to be about!!!

My 1st trip yesterday after work went well, everything I wanted was in stock and that was after work at about 5pm! Amazing!

5lb Bag Gold Medal Flour $2.59 - .75 IP = .34 cents

Betty Crocker Au Gratin Potatoes (box) 1.65 - .50/1 q = .15 cents

1lb Mahatma Rice $1.69 - .50/1 = .19 cents

1 Smart Balance Peanut Butter $2.99 - .75 q = .74 cents

1 Mr. Clean Eraser $3.29 - .75/1 q= $1.04

2 cans Ortega Diced Jalapenos $1.19 each = $2.38 - .75/2 q = .13 cents for both

1 French’s Yellow Mustard $1.50 - .50/1 q = FREE

1 French’s Spicy Brown Mustard $1.50 - .50/1 = FREE

1 Clorox Bleach $ 1.99 - .50/1 = .59 cents

1 No Yolk Noodles $2.29 - .75/1 = .09 cents

2 La Victoria Enchilada Sauce $1.99 each = 3.98 – 2 .50/1 q’s = .98 cents for both

2 Wet Ones Wipes $2.89 each = 5.78 – 2 .75/1 q’s = .64 each or 1.28 for both

1 Argo Corn Starch $1.75 - .40/1 = .55

2 boxes Morning Star Spicy Black Bean Burgers $3.00 each = $6.00 – 2 .75/1 q’s = .75 each or 1.50 for both

2 Shamrock Choclate Milks 1.25 each = 2.50 for 2 - .50/1 x 2 = FREE

Chinet Comfort Cups 2.99 - .75/1 = .74

The following were after my 20 q limit for triples so these q’s were face value (things I needed and q’s expiring soon).

1 Lysol Disinfecting Wipes bogo price for one 1.64 - $1.00/1 = .64 cents

1- 4pack DanActive Strawberry Yogurt shots $2.50 - $1.00 = $1.50

Coupons Tendered 44.50
OOP 11.34

I think it’s interesting to see how a lot of the things we were getting free a year ago with triples, are now costing us a few cents. For example the Mahatma rice is now .19 instead of free.

Not pictured is 2 loaves of bread (dh already opened one to make a sammich and put the other one in the freezer lol) and one old orchard apple juice... must have fallen out in the car under a seat or something because i didn't put it away.

NOTE: THE HERSHEY MILK COUPON BEEPED AND HAD TO HAVE A MANAGER OVERRIDE!

Hey Moggy! My OOP was around 9 dollars for the total order, I have to guestimate because DH ruined it by buying drano and a turkey baster without coupons, lol. I got the old bay coupons by writing to old bay last year and this year. The coupons they sent don't expire until dec 2010.

They sent about 5 .75/1 coupons

The old bay with 30% less sodium is only 2.99 so they were about .74 cents each.

The bigger ones that were the original old bay were about $5 each so it was cheaper for me to buy this kind. Also a little less sodium isn't going to hurt anyone :)

ETA: Old bay is NOT in the seasoning aisle! I had to look in the fresh seafood area on the side of an open top freezer to find all the old bay products.

DAY 1

It was a fun morning today! I got to meet a lot of my blog followers and I really enjoyed it. Everyone seems to be excited and ready to learn and save! I was also pleasantly surprised to see a lot of gifts around from the "Coupon Fairy". Of course I left some myself and I hope some of you were lucky enough to get them. :) I did have some trouble at checkout which backed up the line (if you were behind me, I am so sorry!). The McCormick Grinders did not prompt the $2.50 Catalina which I had planned on using to pay for my milk in my second transaction. Also, I had been watching my Healthy Smiles reward and I knew that I had reached to 40 points but the $5 did not come off. Of cours, after reading the fine print it said I would get the $5 off my NEXT transaction. Duh! So I got my milk and left my phone number to get a resolution on the McCormick deal. Of course, there were 6 coupons that I did not use because of the McCormick problem so I went back in and got 6 more free after coupon items! :)

Here is a rundouwn of what I got:

3 20oz Cokes
6 Lysol toilet cleaners
3 McCormick Grinders
1 Mentos Gum
1 Barilla pasta
1 Oral B Toothbrush
1 Sara Lee Bread
1 Land O Lakes whipped butter
1 Breakstone Sour Cream
1 Bumble Bee Tuna
1 Allens Green Beans
1 Milk
1 Half & Half

Total Spent: $6.10
Total Saved: $47.76
= 88% Savings

DAY 2

I did great today! I had them ring up 3 McCormick Spices, took the cat for $2.50 and used it to pay my second order with the rest of my coupons! I ended up paying less than tax!!!

Here is a rundown of what I got:

3 McCormick Paprika
3 McCormick Chili Powder
3 Lysol Sprays
3 Quaker True Delight Rice Snacks (I love the Creme Brulee one so I couldnt resist!)
1 Starburst candy (I needed a filler because my total was in the negative...oops:)
3 Bumble Bee tuna pouces
2 Texas Toast croutons
1 20 oz Diet Coke
1 Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread
1 French's Onions

Total Spent $0.21
Total Saved $44.76
= 99% Savings!

Another completely confusing trip where I can not figure out what happened.

3 diamond sea salt 99c (used 2 50c coupons)
3 newmans dressing $1.99 (clearance used 3 75c coupons)
1 newmans $3.99 used 75c coupon
2 lifesavers gummis 89c (used 2 50c coupons)
2 frenchs mustard $1.50 (used 2 50c coupons)
2 OEP green chilis $1.65 (used 2 55c coupons)
1 NY Texas Toast crouton $1.89 (used 1 55c coupons)
1 Natures own bread $1.99 (used 1 75c coupons)
1 Natures Own sandwich rounds (used 1 75c coupons)
2 coffeemate $2.00 (used 2 75c coupons)

oop was -$2.00 so went and got two vitamin waters and paid 4c. I still don't understand though I checked and rechecked and all the coupons scanned. I guess I shouldn't complain but it just seems weird.

Edited to add that all the newmans and natures own coupons tripled for full amounts (ie 3 newmans at $1.99 and 1 newmans at $3.99 - the four 75 coupons tripled to $2.25 each or $9 total since all the newmans together was $9.96)

:)

My store has never said anything about using more than three coupons for the same item and I have been checked out by managers too. The only person that ever said anything was that I can only use three internet coupons for the same item, but that as many of the others up to my 20 limit. I do not recall ever having more than three internet coupons for the same item either so it has never really been an issue. The 1.50 oyno came from the mccormik vanilla extracts. They are bogo and if you buy 2 you get 1.5 if you buy 3 you get 2.5 etc.

And if you are in MD and happen to not like Old Bay, then you will find it sprinkled on everything, everywhere. French fries, chicken salad, pasta salad, etc.

Sorry, I have nothing else to contribute today b/c I decided not to make a triples shopping trip. Oh, and I don't like meatloaf OR polka music. Or Old Bay. Or Old Bay on my meatloaf. ;-)

HT coupon policy says that they'll take competitors $ off coupons, but not Qs for a specific product. It is up to each store to decide their "competitors" but all the ones in my area - Wilmington, NC - accept walgreens RR as competitor coupons - and they actually scan through just like HT cats do!

Which stores in wilmington take the $$ off.. Thanks

bcvincent--I've heard that the HT in the Ogden area is pretty anti-RR and Leland just said they wouldn't take them anymore. But the rest are fine w/ it. Independence Mall one is my fav--they don't bat an eye usually.

I made two trips, once on Wednesday first thing in the AM before all the free stuff was bought up. Then again after work today, to surprisingly find FULLY stocked shelves, so I did 2 transactions using 10 coupons each time since I had 2 $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupons. I never used $/$$ before, but thought I'd give it a try since I keep reading on AFC that people use competitors coupons at their HT. When the first one worked on Wednesday, I made sure to use the other two today. They beeped, but the manager put them through!!!

Wednesday's deal:

1 Heinz Ketchup (got a $.50 coupon from Heinz when I emailed them about not getting them in my inserts when it seemed like everyone else in the world got them, lol!)
2 Lysol Kitchen cleaners (1st time I was ever able to get these!)
2 Lysol Toilet bowl cleaners
4 Quaker True Delights
5 Solo cups - large
2 Solo cups - small
2 Chore Boy Scrubbers
1 Nature's Own Thin Bagels
1 Nature's Own Sandwich Rounds
1 Gallon milk
1 YoCrunch
Threw in milk & yogurt when the cashier said "Oh, um...negative 3.44. I can't give you money, so please go get some more stuff." I forgot to account for the $5 off $25.

I was surprised that they let me use 7 Solo and 4 Quaker coupons since I thought the limit was 3 like coupons, but the cashier put them through and said, just make sure you only use 2 like Internet coupons.

My OOP came to 10 cents!!!

Today's Transaction #1
1 Earth's Best Honey Sticks
1 Reynolds Foil
3 Solo Cups
2 Nature's Own Thin Bagels
2 Nature's Own Sandwich Rounds
I wanted to buy 3 each of Nature's Own, but I forgot I can only use 2 IPs per like item, so I asked the cashier to take the 3rd of each out.

Total OOP .23 cents!

Today's Transaction #2
I messed this one up big time. I wanted to make sure I didn't get a negative balance due to the $5 off $25. So, I thought I'd put in a filler with HT string cheese for $2.99, but must have read the wrong label and it actually cost $6.99!!! Yikes!!!

1 HT String Cheese
2 Lysol Kitchen cleaner
1 Lysol All Purpose cleaner
3 Lysol toilet cleaner
1 Set of Ziploc containers
1 Solo cups
1 Reese 8 pack
2 Grands Biscuits (they were 1.47 each for a 5 pack - hubby's request - totally forgot about the cat deal until I got home!!! I think I'll return them and buy more so I can get the OYNO cat.)

Total was $6.13
Used $3 OYNO from Post cereal deal
OOP was $3.13. While good, I could have done better.

Purchased $157.61
Paid $3.46
98% Savings, if my math is correct

I got a lot of multiples b/c I'll be donating as much as possible to a family in need at the school I teach - the family is in the midst of a medical tragedy and needs a lot of assistance. If anyone is near Laurel, MD and is able to donate anything, I'd love for you to PM me. I'd be happy to pick up any donations. Sorry for getting off topic.

If anyone is near Laurel, MD and is able to donate anything, I'd love for you to PM me. I'd be happy to pick up any donation. Sorry for getting off topic.

Adrienne, do you know if there was any of the bogo bathroom cleaner restocked at the columbia store?

And if you are in MD and happen to not like Old Bay, then you will find it sprinkled on everything, everywhere. French fries, chicken salad, pasta salad, etc.

Sorry, I have nothing else to contribute today b/c I decided not to make a triples shopping trip. Oh, and I don't like meatloaf OR polka music. Or Old Bay. Or Old Bay on my meatloaf. ;-)

You don't like Old Bay and in you live in MD! :eek2:

Just kidding:tongue2: It's like people who live in MD and are allergic to shellfish....so sad!

No clue tink...I haven't shopped at that HT since the one closer to me opened...but plenty at mine. It seems less people shop at Maple Lawn so it is better stocked, which is awesome for me. I do miss the staff at the Columbia HT. Some of the staff here kinda know me, but so far aren't quite as friendly as the staff in Columbia. You should come down here sometime...it's only a few minutes further south from the Columbia store...and we could meet for lunch or something and brag about our deals, LOL!

so I did 2 transactions using 10 coupons each time since I had 2 $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupons. I never used $/$$ before, but thought I'd give it a try since I keep reading on AFC that people use competitors coupons at their HT. When the first one worked on Wednesday, I made sure to use the other two today. They beeped, but the manager put them through!!!

Was the $5/$25 a printable one? The manager told me today that they could only takes ones that were mailed, not ones printed off the internet. This manager has been super good to me, so I don't want to rock the boat. I already have some printed out that I can use.

They were IPs. The manager didn't say anything to me about it being an IP. Maybe it's YMMV.

Hey Tink,

The bathroom cleaner was restocked-there were about 20 or so bottles. However, there were not any bottles of the bogo lysol spray cleanser. Only one pack of the nature's own thin bagels left and none of the seapak bogo shrimp. That's all I can think of for now! HTH

The rosina at my store that is b1g1 is for the smaller 12 oz. pkg and the q is for the larger package. I was hoping for free meatballs, but it didn't work out.

Not pictured is 2 loaves of bread (dh already opened one to make a sammich and put the other one in the freezer lol) and one old orchard apple juice... must have fallen out in the car under a seat or something because i didn't put it away.

I must totally agree with you, however, I lucked up and the HT I shop was pretty much stocked this morning when I went, they said they got in 2 trucks and are getting another one Saturday/Sunday. I was also told that they got an email from corporate on Wednesday and you are now only allowed one card, 20 coupons, per customer, per day because of people coming in with multiple cards, this is my moms, this is my grandmas, this is mine, this is the boyfriends, etc. and wiping the shelves before anyone else gets in there. They said they have to stick to it or they could lose their jobs. I guess we will see!

Where in N.C. are you? Do you have more than one HT you can try? I have 4 and I've found that 2 of them are much more likely to have the freebies in stock than the other 2. I'm in Greensboro, there are a lot more HT's here but it's not worth it to me to drive all around the city in order to get a few items here and a few items there etc... It's just frustrating because the 2 closest to my house are ALWAYS wiped clean and I have the feeling that it is not 10 different people buying three at a time, it's 1,2, or 3 buying 10 or more!! I wish people would be more considerate of others, and follow the rules and limits.
I appreciate the tip though and I will try to find at LEAST 1 that stays stocked!

Does HT take CVS Extra Care Bucks?

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer! Triples are WONDERFUL and I wish/hope that we ALL can have a chance to get some great deals!

Day 3

Well, aparently our store did not re-stock last night because they were out of almost everything that was free! At least I was able to get the FREE Ball Park franks before they were gone too. Make sure to get the "Bun Sized" ones. The parking lot was empty this morning at 8am, compared to Wednesday and Thursday mornings where I had a hard time finding a parking space! It was great to see some of my couponing buddies there today!

Here is a rundown of what I got:

2 Quaker True Delights Creme Brulee (yummy)
3 Franks Red Hot sauce
2 Coke 20oz
3 Texas Croutons
3 Bumble Bee Tuna pouches
3 Barilla Pasta's
1 Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread
2 Kraft Shredded cheese (I really needed cheese!)
2 Egglands Eggs (I was able to use 1 $0.35 coupon and the Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon, so $0.99 each is not a bad price for eggs!)
1 Breakstone Sour Cream

Total Spent $4.21
Total Saved $46.07
= 91% Savings!

I went today and used the $5/$25 printable Rite Aid coupon. The manger keyed it in, but she called me over as I was leaving to tell me she did today, but it is against their written policy, so she won't do it in the future. I told her that was fine because I already save a ton even without the $5.

It is NOT against their written policy. :confused2: They do accept Competitor Coupons $/$$ not coupons for specific items. Take a copy of the policy next time you go to HT.

Overall my managers are nice. I had a CS manager tell me the same info. So I told him to call the store manager and I would wait. Also, I had a copy of the policy. Store manager corrected the CSM and CSM apologized. This was at the Gainesville, VA HT store in N VA.

I got my Rite Aid $5/$25 coupon used correctly.

If I am incorrect, please forgive.

She pointed out to me their sign that said that it could only be one that was mailed or in an ad, not one printed out from the computer. That was the issue- that it was printed.

This manager has been super good to me in the past, so I am not going to push it for $5. But I may try it again if she is not there.

My store sticks to the policy on Competitor's IP's, too. I've been lucky to get the Safeway $5/50 from the Entertainment Book and a very few others that are not IP's and when CS has come over to approve them, I've gotten the comment that I'm the only person who knows how to use Competitor's q's.

Thanks - that was really nice of you to post that for me. :-) I've already printed and used it a while ago and am waiting patiently for it to reset. :-( I got the milk and regular yogurt coupons in the mail recently when I emailed them about their newsletter. Thanks to compmomnc for the Catalina reminder in GDA Thred (http://http://www.afullcup.com/forums/harris-teeter/357617-gda-thread-ht-triples-wk-3-24-10-a.html)
"Purchase 3-4 (three or four) Kellogg’s Cereals (10oz+), Receive Catalina good for one (1) Free Gallon of Milk
Purchase 5-6 (five or six) Kellogg’s Cereals (10oz+), Receive Catalina good for two (2) Free Gallons of Milk
Purchase 7+ (seven or more) Kellogg’s Cereals (10oz+), Receive Catalina good for three (3) Free Gallons of Milk
runs 3/19 – 4/10/10"

Here's the scenario that I came up with for Kellogg's. I only use 3 like-coupons as it has the least room for issues.

4 Frosted Mini Wheat (BOGO) $3.65 x 2 = $7.30 - $1.50/2 (x2IPs) = $4.30/4 or $1.08/box
3 Apple Jacks (12 oz boxes) $3.19 x 3 = $9.57 - $0.70 (x3Q) = $3.27/3 or $1.09/box

7 boxes of cereal = $7.57 AND 3 Gallons of FREE milk!! :)

BTW - The free milk printed 3 separate catalinas. I was worried that they were going to print on one.

Yes, I went Wednesday, the first day of the sale, and the store was packed with people. They were all complaining about so many items being out of stock. They had nothing that was on my list. One of the cashiers said that they were supposed to have gotten their truck on Tuesday but it didn't come until Wednesday and they had not had time to stock up. I went back today - Friday - and they still didn't have the Lysol BOGO products, Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls, Country crock margarine and a few of the other good sales. I leave tomorrow to go out of town and won't be back until the sale has ended. This was a very disappointing triples for me.

Triples are WONDERFUL and I wish/hope that we ALL can have a chance to get some great deals!
i am in Greensboro too and both stores i have been to have been stocked(i don't go until night time) and yes somethings I may get 10 of but who is anyone to tell me I am wrong I work hard getting the deals I get so if someone misses out that is not my fault. I spend a lot of money with coupons at HT b/c that is the only store I go to b/c the company my dh works for hauls a lot of HTs stock. So no one is going to make me feel bad for buying 10 of one thing.

You guys are doing AWESOME!!! I am loving triples even more than I thought I would! The only thing I've found that I don't think has been mentioned is the frozen Alexia products...not sure where I got the q's - I think they are inserts. It makes the potatoes $1 and the sides $1.79. Also the bread is free if you want to do that with the q.

Went this morning and got some things that I really wanted. My H.T. is still out of the Kelloggs Fruit Crisps, but other wise I got most of what I wanted and plan to return later on to get some more Lysol ( I have 5 coupons and only used 2)
This is what I got..
2 Reynolds wrap
2 chinet comfort cups
2 Lysol with bleach cleaner
2 McCormick spices
1 dawn dish detergent
1 crest toothpaste
3 Germ x hand sanitizers
My oop was $5.45 the cheapest I have ever paid, lol
I plan on going back to a different H.T. later this morning to get 3 more of the lysol and the Fruit crisps other than that I am really done with what I have had coupons for, I am going to check out tomorrows paper, but doubt I will find anything I really need. Good luck to all of you who aren't finished, hope you find everything you are looking for.

Went back to HT last night with my neighbor to help her. They were restocking some things, but out of quite a few "First Day Frees" (mustard, vanilla, etc). However, with keen eyes we were able to find:
Mustard - The shelf was empty; a few rows over and one of the small shelf displays (kind that sticks out in the aisle) was full!
Then, we found a McCormicks Vanilla (BOGO size) under several of the larger ones--the display was a bit of a mess :).
KC Masterpiece was down to "Hot n' Spicy", but looking on the other shelves behind other sauces, we found "Smokey Bourbon".
Finally, they were out of Ivory soap 3-pks. Happened to notice something on the floor, under the shelves -- it was the soap she needed.

SOOO...just wanted to share a reminder to keep your eyes open and look around the general area - not just where the item is suppose to be. HAPPY TRIPLES!!!

Thanks - that was really nice of you to post that for me. :-) I've already printed and used it a while ago and am waiting patiently for it to reset. :-( I got the milk and regular yogurt coupons in the mail recently when I emailed them about their newsletter. DD eats one Yobaby cup every day so we go through it faster than anything else.

update: OMG - I just checked the site again and they're all new! Woo-Hoo!!! I wouldn't have thought to check today if you hadn't posted. :-) :-) :-)

All new? I've been waiting for about 6 months for them to reset! I'm off to check it out. Thanks! :)

Whoo hoo! ~ they have been reset!

Try this link, too, for another 0.50/2 Maple Vanilla 6 oz. yogurts. (Another 2 free with the sale this week. I'm wondering if you bought 3 would it go ahead and triple to that amount for 3 free? Sometimes that seems to work that way with the tripling.)

StonyField:Register (http://click.email.stonyfield.com/?qs=7e07b3d3d4e211e82b0308c63bc656c756b6b893541eb2 5080c14c6165a43c0a737d90354aa80e6a)

Might not work for others--it was emailed me by Stonyfield this morning. And you do need to be registered. But I thought it was worth a try.

My HT works the same way with the b1g1 items. The q's always beep if I try to use 2 q's on 2 items. I bought one of the kitchen and one of the bathroom cleaners, used a different q for each item, and it worked fine. I have seen others on this thread mention where they bought 2 of the same item and they were able to use 2 q's, but I guess it doesn't work in our area.

I said this because it is against Harris Teeter's coupon policy to use more than three Manufacturer's coupons for the same item. Therefore it is misuse of coupons. This is why it is frustrating when the shelves have been raided by a single person, because it is against Harris Teeter policy.

This is directly from the Harris Teeter Coupon Policy: We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value.

Hope everyone got some good deals this weekend!

Last Day of Triples was my best day ever (so far) !

So I decide to go to a completely different Harris Teeter today than the 2 i've been trying. Not too far. 30 min one way. I was so glad I did too because they were in stock of ALMOST everything on my list. I tried to post a picture but I can't even get it off my phone. So here's just a list. Also I figured up my total should have been about $4 less but I don't know if my math was wrong or the cashier didn't fix the Q that beeped right or what. Gr... but my husband reminded me... I saved $52.

2 Mahatma White Rice .19 each
3 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner FREE
1 Lysol All Purpose Cleaner FREE
2 Lysol Kitchen Cleaner FREE
3 Lysol Cleaner w/ Bleach FREE
1 Chinet Cups .25
1 Pillsbury Confetti Cake Mix FREE
2 KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce FREE
2 Shamrock Milk FREE

OOP: 5.70
SAVED: 52.18

See... one of my FREEs were not FREE. But I can't figure out what happend. I think it might have been something about a BOGO and I got 2 instead of 3 and used 2 Q. Does that make since?

Still a successful day

I was having Triples withdrawal over the weekend b/c I was out of town where there were no HTs, the horror! So, I made a quick trip today to get my fix, LOL! I'm happy to report that I did. The balance came to negative 25 cents, so the manager just gave me a quarter. What a nice welcome back

I was fortunate to be able to go every day. So after 7 days and 140 coupons here are my totals:

$534.65 worth of groceries for $100.99 (82% savings)

The above totals do include a few non coupon items such as fruit, meat, garbage bags. If I subtract those amounts I saved 87%. I also ended up with cats for 3 free gallons of milk. I had a hard time finding any free items on the last 2 days because my store decided to do inventory during triples week. Once the shelf was cleared they did not restock. I also noticed that they stopped giving overage the last couple of days. The coupons only tripled to the value of the item.

Thank you everyone for the good deals!!
