I was buying books on Amazon yesterday--as I browsed, an offer for $30 credit when you apply for and use a new Amazon Visa kept tracking what I was spending and how much I could end up paying oop after the $30 credit as I put items into my cart. Finally got too tempting as my final order was just under $30!
Be Aware: If you're sending Amazon items as a gift, make sure the giftee's address is saved in your account Before you apply for the card--after I filled out the quick app, a notice popped up saying that I would only be able to ship to a saved address today--otherwise I'd have to wait for the card in the mail.
Luckily I had shipped to the address I wanted to use before--I would have been really PO'd otherwise!

Have many of you gone this route? I'm thinking about signing up, because $30 is $30, and I could just cut up the card once I get.

I have,in my account and hubby has in a separate account.Yes you can cancel after paying of any balance!!

i did it yesterday and dh done it about 9 months ago
i got two DS games (buildbear and babies ) and two password journy for 15 and change shipped and yep i just pay it and close account when i get it

I applied about a week ago and it was a $50 credit then also. I had been wanting to get my MIL a digital camera, so it worked out nice!

today its only 30.00 but still that is good, I was defintely thinking about doing it to get the 30.00 off my total...any other thoughts....
