just need a good deal.. my princess needs a carseat ASAP

I know that Britax are expensive but I would buy it over and over again!

I have heard that walmart is a good place to get a good price. I have also heard from a person who checks your car seat that the Nautilus, I think it is a Graco, is one of the better ones to get. I have looked at it and I know another mom that said she looked and looked and this one fits and adjusts and will last you - you may not need another one. I know Target has this one. Just check on line. If Walmart does not have it in store I think you can order it and have it delivered to the store for no charge on delivery and you just pick it up there. Good Luck

I live in MD and they're in northern PA and I've gotten everything next day b/c they ship quickly. I get emails from them about carseat sales all the time.

! They are (or were) an Amazon merchant and that's how I originally ordered something from them. I literally hit the Submit button for my order at 3:00 in the afternoon and UPS was dropping off my package at 5:00 the next evening. I always try them first now and their customer service by email has been friendly and prompt. I've found their pricing to be typically the same as other Amazon merchants, but slightly lower here and there.

If your daughter is only 12 months, unless she is over 35 lbs, the Nautilus is NOT the car seat for her . It is a forward ONLY seat, and she should be rear facing for a LONG time still. Check out Car Seat org for more information on extended rear facing which is the SAFEST way for a child to ride until they max out on rear facing seats.

Albeebaby is also a good online resource for seats, pretty inexpensively, as well as elistecarseats. If you want an inexpensive but safe seat to get her through rear facing you can get a Scenera at Kmart for ~$45 and keep her rear facing until 35lbs, and then use it forward facing until 40lbs...

My DD is 14 months and still rear facing in the infant carrier. It goes up to 30 lbs and 30 inches. She is 22 lbs and 29 inches.

I've been searching for a new car seat online tonight. I'm thinking of going with a Britax because they go up to 65 lbs and so she can be in it longer.

I really LOVE my DD's Boulevard. They are a little more spendy ($300ish) but soo worth the extra softys IMO. DD stayed Rf in it until just past 2 years old when she reached 33lbs (the new ones RF to 35lbs). DS2 is in (an older version of) one at just shy of 9 mos and 28lbs. You can order thru AAA and get a discount of 10% I think at Target.com (and free shipping I believe) and if you don't likey you can return to the store itself.

That is what my 4 year old is in. It is a very good seat if your child is already forward facing, and maxed out on rear facing seats. DS went into that just after his 3rd b-day and he seemed to swim in it after the Britax he was in before that (although the padding they have with it, which is removable, made it cozy for him), but it will suit him for a long, long time now.
