Does anyone use coupons here in SoCal? I am feeling really lonely in this forum!

Yes, I use coupons. I did a lot of couponing and refunding when my kids were young...before I worked. I always shopped at Ralphs when they doubled to $1 until the grocery strike some years ago. I discovered I could get most of my meats from Costco and other good stuff from Trader Joes, but I've been into it again since I found one of my old coupon magazines' website. I thank we're just to busy working and dealing with traffic to post much, but I read the deals, and have learned a lot from this site and another. Now I have grandbabies and do the baby deals. It's been great!
I prefer Albertsons to Ralphs now since Albees has had some great deals.

Its just funny. I started up my blog and all my friends are interested in what I do but it takes them a second to realize the work they have to put into it and they aren't interested. I feel like the lonely coupon shopper in SoCal...

Yeah, my friends wouldn't be interested in these kind of stuff. They're the type of girls that like to shop for cloths, shoes, bags... Yeah, we're pretty lonely you can say but then I consider it good since we don't have to worry about our shelves being cleared The only person I shop with is my sister

Yep same here. I even held a coupon class for my friends they were excited and well I do not think they are doing it anymore. I am here too in So Cal. (South Orange County). I just ran across your blog yesterday, it looks great I will add it to my following list!!

Say Hi to my mom down there in the Santa Barbara area shopping with you gals! I live up here in Idaho but every week I put together deals for her to run at Walgreens/CVS/Albertsons/Target depending on the deals. I send here simple scenarios to run and shes so proud when she calls me and tells me she ran the deal. This morning she shocked me when she told me she bought a binder! COOL!

Hey everyone! I'm here in So. Cal. I just had two of the most awesome trips to Albertsons yet. The store on Washington in Culver City has some great clearance by the door.

Last night I got $103 worth of merchandise for $.54. After tax, I paid $2.20 out of pocket.

They still have quite a bit left. I went back about an hour ago.

Most of the items I had coupons for were trial sizes, but Qs with an amount off any will work.

4 Charmin .25 used 4 .25 off 1
4 Crystal Light .99 used 2 $2 off 2
18 Shout Wipes .20 used 7 .55 off 1
4 Bayer Quick Crystals $1.50 used 4 1.50 off 1
9 Downy Fabric Softener .25 used 2 1 off 1
6 Reach Dental Floss .70 used 4 1 off 1
3 Bottles of Crystal Geyser 2/.25

Today I went back and got more Crystal Light, the Degree Body spray 1.00, some toilet seat covers .25, nail polish remover .35 and some water that was .20 each instead of 2/.25.

There were still Gillette deodorants for men, some Nivea for men, Bayer Quick Crystals, Arid deoderant, L'Oreal hair care, Schick Razors (clearance prices not marked), Papermate pens, Zipper binders, Jewish holiday candles and food, Kellogg's fiber bars and much more. There was also a summer clearance rack next to the regular clearance rack.

Hope someone can take advantage of these finds.

Albertsons is just a bit out of my way, but not too far. Well, it is across the street from Walmart, so I guess it wouldn't be hard for me to go there.

I just started Couponing about 1 month ago. I'm in San Diego about 10 min from Mex. Been looking for other Coupon Fanatics in my area but havent found any. =[ Feeling lonely out here.

We had an albertson's here in northern CA but it got bought out by food max. And now it is called save mart.

I am in San Diego and feel lonely too...but it is fantastic to go and see full shelves for the deals I am trying to do.

I am in So Cal! I was a die hard scrapbooker and got burned out on that and have now taken up couponing. I call it my new hobby!!! ha ha.
Instead of spending every last cent on paper I am now filling my cupboards for so cheap and having the time of my life doing it.
I feel the same way about feeling like the only one around me that does it. Now if I could just recruit my scrapbooking friends....

I just did the map of AFC members. It made me feel like the lone couponer, too. I'm in Channel Islands. Everyone else looks to be far North or LA/SD.
Albertson's is usually good for deals. I seem to have a little different pricing than the LA and Northern CA stores. I do like Ralph's and Von's, too.

Totallyblessed I'm totally jealous of those full shelves! My Wags lady told me there are only two other coupon ladies at their store. But they bring trucks and mules!

I'm in Valencia and I love to save $$$ on groceries. I tried teaching it to my daughter's friend's mom but she can't be bothered. I'm a loner anyways so no biggie!

I am in Pasadena and very new to couponing. Lots of trial and error... I have a little baby girl and am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, but am trying to help our family budget by saving as much as possible. I am so glad to see there are other So Cal women doing this! So glad I found this forum!

I'm in San Diego too. It's lonely Couponer's country here.

I taught a class and 4 people came. My friends can't be bothered to come and learn, they just want the free stuff. I'd love to have someone to shop with and trade coupons here with.

I am up in Orange County and I swear I am the lonely coupon shopper out here. My friends think its great and all that I get the deals but I swear none of them will be caught dead with a coupon in the store. They just don't get it.

I just recently got my parents into coupons and my dad loves it...they support each other now they have my aunt who lives next door into it and so on. Everyone is getting into it. But they live in another state.

I'm sittin it out here alone in Cali....What a bummer!

You are not alone in Orange County. I am in North O.C. I am much closer to Ralphs though, so I do most of my grocery shopping there.

Awesome! I have been looking for someone that has a workshop for couponing. I would love to go to one of yours. My family has tried to coupon with me but I just cant explain it to them so they can get the hang of it haha.

Where are you located at? I stay in the west side of Chula Vista.

So Cal Mom, I'm in Orange County also, and like you.... everyone I know says 'that's great!!' ' you should write a book' blah blah but no one does it. I love Albertsons, did 4 different transactions today, total OOP was about $63, total saving s $380! A full Suburban trunkfull with 4 turkeys!
