Because the value is more than the cost. The cashier needs to round it down.

That's kind of funny considering they are mega items. I thought they'd ring up at $.99 and then you'd get $5 off at end for every $10.

They do ring up at .99 and the $5 comes off at the end, but its not working to well for me. Lol. I bought 10 boxes, used 5 q's, last one beeped.

My receipt has .99 then beside that it has .49, took $5 off @ the end. Cashier had to do each coupon .98 which is kind of bogus because they get the full amount back from coupon. Thats my gripe about Albies LOL

If you do self-check, you can do the q's right after you scan each item (before the $5 comes off) and it should work. A cashier showed me that trick a couple of years ago. HTH

They do not have self check outs at my store!
However, shouldn't they adjust the coupon to .98 so you can use them?

All of mine beeped tonight too, got 10 boxes. I tried to explain to the cashier to just round it down, Manager came over and said "Nah, just key in $5.00". Their loss! (or gain, since they get full value + $0.08 per cpn!)

Just saw the ad for tomorrow (dollar days). Sales end today. I was able to run out and get tons of boxes. I was surprised how many boxes they had left. I figured the shelves would be empty.

I have already done 30 boxes worth...have enough coupons to do 10 more....not sure if I want to do 10 more, cause the staff at school already looked at me like I was crazy bringing in 20 boxes at once.

So I had enough to buy 20 boxes, however, the store manager changes his coupon policy depending on the sale (or so I was told by the cashier today). They are only allowing you to use 4 of the same coupon in a transaction for the Paseo...so I could only get 8 free. (and you can only use them per day) Which means I can't use them again for the sale...oh well...That is the stores loss!
