Did you know that Military Children can get scholarships for College?
It's time to apply for the 2015 program! Pick up an application from your local Commissary. Submit your application to your commissary no later than Friday, February 13, 2015.

The Scholarships for Military Children Program was created in recognition of the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and to celebrate the role of the commissary in the military family community. It is the intent of the program that a scholarship funded through contributions be awarded annually for each commissary operated by the Defense Commissary Agency worldwide.

The New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association (ALA) has established a scholarship program to assist children of select active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Found the form for the Fisher House Scholarship at one of the commissaries on Saturday, it looks like the essay is a lot easy to research and complete than last years. They want an essay on someone from WWII, a woman, who made a difference. See link above for more details or visit customer service if you can't find the form.
