AFC Super Saver Contest Starts June 19

Are you a Super Saver thanks to AFC?
If so this is the contest for you to show offer you’re saving skills and get rewarded for it!

1. You will need to go on a Shopping trip (Drug store or Grocery store) with a minimum spend of $25.00 (before coupons) and have a savings of 80% or more. One Trip = ONE RECEIPT...you can not add up multiple receipts of one trip to the store.

2. We will need you to take a picture of your receipt (only Receipts during contest dates count (don’t take pics of old receipts)) and include it in your post.

3. Would like you to take a picture of your take (a picture of all the products or your Grocery bags full of the goodies you got).

4. Also we ask that you do a brief write-up as to how AFC helped you save that 80% or greater.

You can Earn 2 Entries per week, 1 for Drug Store and 1 for Grocery Store savings per week.

Weeks are as follows
Week 1~ June 19th to June 25th
Week 2~ June 26th to July 2nd
Week 3~ July 3rd to July 9th
Week 4~ July 10th to July 19th (yes this week is longer so you have a coupole extra days o get your savings in)

So in total you can get 8 entries into the AFC super Saver Contest.

We will take all qualifying entries and do a random drawing for 10 - $50 gift cards. (You will get to choose from Wal-Mart, Target or Amazon for your Gift card), also will randomly draw for 5 winners of AFC totes!

Also have 1 AFC SUPER SAVER this is the person that saves the most, we will take into account total saved (dollar Amount) and Percentage of savings to come up with the AFC SUPER SAVER. This person will get a Flip Video, $50 gift card, special AFC SUPER SAVER Bling, AFC tote and 1 Year Supporting Member.

You can only win one prize.

So each entry will need to save 80% or more, include 2 pictures (1 of receipt, 1 of goodies), and a brief write-up of how AFC helped you save. Also if you have a video camera and want to video your trip, receipt and goodies we will accept that also.

I have to thank AFC and all of my AFC ShopRite forum friends for finding these great deals, I could have never done it without them. AFC is AWESOME and I find I can't get myself away from the website!

I am always reviewing the coupon database for great coupon match ups, and noellebrow (Heather) and I are lucky enough to be the ShopRite SLA's (Shopping List Assistants) so because of AFC we're always looking closely at the weekly flyers.

I'd like to also thank AFC and all of us AFC'ers for being great trader's and having awesome trades, both are places where I'm able to get such great Q's, such as my Free Marcal's and $3/1 Visine just for example.

Okay, let me know if this is too confusing b/c the cashier made a mistake with 2 of my Q's and I had to have them adjusted at customer service. If it is too confusing it can be pulled and I'll enter something else later this week.

I had a free Marcal Q forup to $1.59 for tissues and she entered it as 99 cents. Also, she missed one of my Wacky Mac Q's .75/1 which should have doubled to $1.19 (full price). I had this adjusted when I left.

I have to seriously thank AFC and all of its members for sharing and caring and being so darn NICE!!! Everyone is so helpful and willing to give out information when a question is asked regardless of how many times you see it. CVS was just sooooooooooo confusing before I found AFC and it was like a light bulb went off when I read the information here. It was just so simple! And Publix?!??...OMGosh! My favorite store! I went to CVS today because I had quite a few ECB's I had to roll by the 22nd. I didn't find the trip the easiest because of how late in the week it is, but I had my DD grab my coupons and pick me up at my parents today (I clean their house of Fridays due to their poor health and DD had to pick me up because I don't drive due to health reasons...I'm soooo confused... j/k). DD didn't see a couple of coupons I had set out on the kitchen table nor did she see the $4/$20 I received in my email this morning...ughhhhhhhhhhh... But off I went to CVS anyway!

I cut the receipt to get it all in one shot, the 2 on the right hand side is a second transaction because DD grabbed the wrong candy bar and I didn't notice until I got home so I sent dd back to get 2 of the right candy bars and my $5 ECB's...poor thing...

First thank you so much to all AFCers! I've fairly new to couponing and without AFC, I would be totally lost. I check the forums daily for new deals. A very special thank you to the CVS forum leaders for all the time and effort they take to help their fellow CVSers save money. I love the early ad scans, matchups, and free/cheap threads, so I can get my coupons together weeks ahead of time for a successful shopping trip. I am a single mother with a limited budget. Thank you so much AFC!!!! I would never have started shopping at HT had it not been for AFC. I personally thought they were too expensive and had not clue about coupons. I found AFC and now I have been able to lower my weekly grocery bill from $200 a week to $50 or less a week!!!

AFC has played a big part in my savings totals going up constantly. I mainly shop at Publix, and the Publix forum has been a HUGE help. How AFC has helped me save over 80%:

I truly believe in fate and that sometimes we are in a certain place for a reason. This morning at the grocery store an elderly gentleman collapsed in the isle right in front of me. I ran for help immediately. He is ok, EMS came and made sure he was alright. He was diabetic and having trouble with his blood sugar.
If it weren't for this contest, I would not have been at the store this early. I got up early to make sure I could get some of these items before they ran out. I'm just amazed that it was this contest that put me in that place at that time in a store that was fairly empty and someone might not have seen that man right away.

Despite being a little bit shaken and concerned I still managed to save 88% today.

This is a pic of my Rainbow double event. Now they only double on Wed and you HAVE to have at least $25 retail before they will double FIVE (5) coupons. No more than just the 5 coupons will double.

2 Hefty Zip Gallon Bags $2.25 sale $1.69 (2 x $1 coupons doubled)
5 boxes of Cheerios $3.15 each (3 x $1/2 coupons doubled)
1 box of Apple Cheerios $3.19 each
1 Fisher Nut $3.09 sale $1.49 store coupon .99 ($1 man q= FREE)

Because I bought 6 boxes of cereal, I got $10 off my order and then I received 2 coupons for $3.50 off a gallon of milk! Right now our milk is $1.52, so I am able to get 4 gallons for .04 with the two coupons!

Total before q's $28.33 and after q's $3.33 for a 88% savings. Though I technically got paid to shop as the 2 milk q's are good for $3.50 each. SO my new total would be NEGATIVE $3.67!

I use the forums each day to check out the great deals that my AFC friends in MN post. Could I do it alone...yep...but it would take up more time than I want to give, so I rely on everyone posting the great deals. That is what makes AFC the BEST! We share the deals, so one person doesn't do all the work!
