The entries are for shopping trips MADE during those weekly dates right? AS long as each week is submitted before the end that is ok right? Like me... I have a GREAT trip from last week but because I work all weekend did not get a chance to post it LAST WEEK. CAn I still post it NOW for last week since the trip happened last week?

My scenario would work if I omitted the 2 items.

What happened is that I meant to buy:
2 Purina Kitten Chow's at $2.19 each and use 2 Kitten Chow Free's up to $2.19.

I accidentally picked up:
2 Purina Cat Chow's at $1.99 with the 2 Free Kitten Chow Q's

I realized this after I got home and saw it was the wrong package.

So we have to post pictures of the entire receipt? My receipt is over 3 feet long. I took multiple pictures in order to verify each item on the receipt but it takes like 10 pictures to show everything - should I upload them all? Thanks!

Edit: Never mind - I just scanned it in and posted an attached .pdf file of the whole receipt - good to have anyway since I'm sending the receipt in for a rebate. Thanks!

Two ?'s. Where does Kmart fall in since we don't have Super K here so food is somewhat limited. Also I'm assuming that tax is excluded in the $25 and percentage saved as everyone has different rates. Is that correct?

Yes that is correct you can submit them this week evenf or last weeks trips as long as the receipt shows a trip date during the contest period.

Super K would fall into grocery. Its the full total including tax i know thise varies for each state.

OK... then I am lost because I am also seeing people post multiple receipts from the same location? I do most of my shopping in small bursts to roll the catalinas, rr etc. I saved over 90% on some Kroger trans this week but it was done in 10 transactions... from what I gather from this it must be a huge savings on ONE transaction per WEEK from ONE type of store. You can enter ONE in grocery and ONE in pharmacy...

So how are the people getting two Kmart transactions into one entry ... or am I missing something?

Those who are entering more than one store will get only ONE entry for drug store and one for grocery store and it is based on ONE receipt. You can NOT combine receipts to get a bigger total.

If you decide to roll, you can not count your catalina or RR that you receive in a previous purchase, BUT you can count the ones that you received from the purchase you just made.

ie...Buy $20 worth of stuff and pay with coupons AND $10 in catalinas/rr. your total was $2. BUT you receive back $10 in catalinas/rr, so your total would still be $2. Though if you only earned back $5 in catalina's and rr's, your new total would be $7 (cause you didn't earn back all of the $10 you spent in catalina's or RR's)

OK, I entered one shopping trip to Walgreens, however, I have to do multiple transactions in order to get the RR's. You can look at my receipts... all are within minutes of each other as I loaded them to the counter in separate transactions (6:21pm -6:56pm on the same day)... that doesn't count? I'm not combining separate shopping trips... just separate transactions made in order to get the RR's.

Kim...I hate to say it, but only ONE of your receipts count. You can NOT do multiple transactions in order to get the RR's. It has to be ALL on ONE receipt. Sorry.

I have pics of three trips listed, BUT only one of them counts.

I know I have one post with one photo of 2 kmart/2 walgreens transactions but that's merely cause I pulled a photo off my blog to use for the contest so my items weren't divided for the contest. I'm aware though I'll only get one entry.

I do however question how tax can be included in the savings as that kind of makes it unfair for those with high tax rates. I guess I could cross the state line and shop there for the contest because their tax is lower but not everyone has that option. Some people live in areas that have no tax so I think that including taxes into the contest is not providing a level playing field. JMHO.

Kristi...having more than one pic isn't a problem. I put up three pics, BUT only ONE of them count. I can NOT do a cumulative total on the three trips to give me a BIGGER overall savings. One trip=one receipt.

Plus...to answer your second question. Where I live our tax just went up to 7.275. We all have different tax rates. Some people have commisionary stores that tend to have AMAZING deals and they have have high savings. Some people have doubles or triples at their stores. There is no way to "level" the playing field so that we are all = unless we all say...shop at one store and you all have to have the same coupons.

You do the best that you can. I don't look at it as I am competing with other people, but as competing with myself I live in the land of no doubled UNLESS you count Rainbow Foods that will allow you to double 5 $1 coupon ONCE you hit $25. So getting a good deal with that is slim, but it can happen.

Next week with Kmart doubles, we will see more good trips. Here...none from me as we haven't seen doubles since Feb or March.

Right I got the multiple pic thing, I'm just saying I have a trip where I had all items pictured but I know only one of my receipts qualifies for an entry.

I do agree you can't completely level out the playing field but eliminating tax into the percentage saved would be a great help. Nearly 8% tax can really make a difference in your percentage saved especially when tax is figured before coupons in some areas like here. I have a trip from last night that without tax I qualify to enter but because of tax it does not qualify because it makes nearly a 6% difference in my percentage saved. Not trying to upset anyone but many great shopping trips that would normally be eligible would be disqualified due to figuring in taxes.

I noticed that too, but if people post more than 1 transaction per week just to show how they did eve though it doesn't count - I believe they are still earning more entries b/c you will choose post #s like post #12, #32, etc and they have more posts so are more likely to be chosen, am I wrong? I am only only posting 1 transaction for grocery per week (haven't been to the drug stores this week).

No they are NOT earning more entries into the contest. They get ONE for grocery store and ONE for drug store. You can post them in two different posts if you want to. At the end, NO ONE can have more than two entries for the week.

PLUS the dates have to show on the receipt.

Thanks for answering my question.

I'd like to suggest, for future contests, that it be for a trip... as many of us make 1 trip and do multiple transactions to recieve the biggest savings. This is something I personally learned to do here at AFC. I will adjust my entries and remove the excess postings as soon as I get a chance.
