How do I figure percentage saved???

We are still in week one. You get one entry for a grocery store and one entry for a drug store.

all please ensure you show full copies of your reciept. at the end of the contest we will be verifying receipts to ensure everyone entered qualifies.

Also ECB's, RR etc.. earned on previous trips can be used but will not count. ECB's earned on your trip can be treated as discount on that trip.

NOTE if there is a special going on RIGHT now like giant eagle that anyone can signup for and get $5 off we will allow that because everyone is eligible to get it right now.

I woulk like to know the answer too. I would thik that it is based on original prices because this is a savings contest and not a coupon contest. Part of the savings is finding the best sale prices.

it will be on total savings... while i know buying some things at different places will give you more savings cause some places sell items for more etc.. but it is based on original prices - card prices or sales - coupons.

My receipt pic just shows the bottom half. That shows total spent, savings, and the date. Do I need to go back and take another picture of the whole thing?

this would be prefered cause without full receipts it is hard to verfiy 100%.

Thanks for the response but I'm not completely clear on this.
So if something is normally $10 but on sale for $5 and I use a $5/1Q my savings would be $10?

It would have to show on your receipt that reg price is $10. Somewhere on the bottom of your receipt, it should tell you what you saved if it gives reg prices and sale prices.

I only know of a round about way. Take your TOTAL of what you paid and then divide that by what you would of spent. Now take that . XX and subtract it from 100.

Spent $3.33 , though my total before all coupons was $28.33. So 3.33 ./. 28.33 = .117 or .12

Take that 12% and subtract it from 100% and you get 88%.

Ok, I need help. I did one of my best trips and goofed. (2) of the items had coupons that were variety specific and when I got home I realized that I accidentally picked up the wrong variety. Is this trip now disqualified?

Can I just enter my trip and not include those 2 items in the write up & pic?

I have two trips that I want to submit but I can't get a clear picture of the receipts at all and my son did something to my memory card and now the trip pictures are gone. I don't know what to do now.

Maybe people could mail in the receipts when they can't get a photo? Just an idea.

I don't think my store - Target - shows the 'regular price' anywhere on the receipt. Do I have to try and peek under all the sale prices and write that down for you? I don't mind, and I'm honest, but there's a lot of money at stake here & others may not like that. I'm not sure it's possible to 'prove' my savings off regular price. It makes most sense if I find something on clearance to include the original price - and those DO have the original price listed on the price tag. Other items at Target (and I expect most other stores) do not have any price tags on them.

I'll just make sure I spend at least $25 and save 80% off my total before coupons -- which will get me in the contest. What you do from there to try and figure out my total savings, is up to you!

I went to CVS (first time!) yesterday. I received $4ECB that I know can count towards my savings BUT I had bought a 2nd item that was supposed to give me $3ECB. Since my card was new (just turned in the application that day) it wouldn't give it to me, so the manager ended up giving me $3 cash instead. Can I still count that towards my savings, or no b/c it's not on the receipt or anything?

Yes, you can put that on as we do know what produces ECB's and what didn't. Though I don't understand, why you would of gotten the $4 ECB and not the $3 ECB?

Hi,
I'm not involved in moderating the contest but would like to give my opinion. I would expect if you picked up the wrong flavor, went back and exchanged it for a different flavor that is on sale... then show the Exchange receipt showing the item going back and the item you are exchanging it for, etc. that would be fine. Your receipt will show everything.

However if you picked up a totally wrong item and you're unable to exchange it for the sale item... that is part of your coupon skills... ability to match the correct items to the correct coupon. In this case, I'd think your receipt would be OK without the item... unless it no longer was the required $25/80%. If it was no longer $25 or no longer 80% saved, then you would have to try again.

That's just MHO. Not sure if the mods agree.

I do plan to enter, but some of my items on my trip this weekend rang up the wrong price. I'm going to go back to the store and get an adjustment. My result will be 2 receipts with 2 dates ... but I think it's fair they would accept that too. That screw up was Target's, not mine! My second receipt will just show an adjustment.
