Hello,

I have decided to join the coupon craze and save money every week. I am 21 and shopping primarily for my boyfriend and I.

I have started clipping coupons so that one day i can earn 100% savings
I have a few silly questions about how to use the coupons. For example, if cereal is 4/$10 at and i have a coupon for $1/3 can i use 3 coupons for those 4 boxes? or even 4 coupons for those 4 boxes?

I am assuming you mean the cereal is on sale at the store 4/$10. You can only use one manufacturer's coupon per item. If a coupon is off of the purchase of 3 boxes, you can't use any other coupon on those three boxes.

In the case of the 4/$10 sale, if the only coupons you have are $1 off of 3 boxes then you can only use one coupon total. Your final will be $9 for the four boxes. If you have any coupons that are off 1 box, you could use that on the 4th box in the deal for a total of 2 coupons on the four boxes.

$1/3 means $1 off of 3 boxes.
So for every 3 boxes you purchase you can use 1 coupon.
In order to use 3 $1/3 coupons you need to buy 9 boxes. To use 4 $1/3 coupons, 12 boxes and so on.

When an item is on sale (using your example) for 4/$10 you don't need to buy all 4 items to get the $2.50 sale price

I am sure you know this already but... I am going to say it anyway. You can use a manufacturer's coupon and a store coupon on the same box(s) of cereal.
