Hi everyone. I am new to AFC AND to couponing! I have some general questions, but I know I'm going to need some hand-holding at first.

1- is there a sticky that tells us what the acronyms are?
2- how do you know where the best deals are?
3- I see so many of you who go into a store (like CVS) and find items that are on sale, and then you use a coupon to get them free or next to free. HOW do you do that??! I'm ready to learn!
4- where do you get your coupons? Where should I start?

I need very specific instructions. I am SO new to this and will be forever grateful for every piece of advice and help you guys can throw my way!

1 - there's a link to it at the very bottom of the page
2 - I find the best deals by reading posts by others
3 - Some drug stores have really good deals sometimes. You'll have to read posts for specifics
4 - You can get coupons from the Sunday paper, by printing them online, and by signing up to receive them by mail. Some stores sell the Sunday paper cheaper so check around. You can also trade for coupons on AFC using paypal, stamps or other forms of payment. Just check out the For Sale or Trade forum. There are also coupon clipping services you can order coupons from.

I suggest that you find out what stores are in your area and get their coupon policies. Read on AFC about the stores in your area to find good deals (there may be some coupon policies posted as well).

Also, start collecting coupons for items that you use. It will take you a while, but soon you will be able to match your coupons with sales to get the best prices.
