is any body a member of the grocery game? ran across it while searching? is it something that would pay off to join?

IMO, It isn't worth it. I tried it out for about 2 months and it really wasn't anything that I couldn't do myself or get from this site. It is easy to see the coupons matched up but if you don't have those coupons then it doesn't help.

I did Grocery Game for years but just cancelled. AFC has members who do store shopping lists and they are very helpful, matching sale items with coupons.

i've never tired it but it does seem like a waste of money. there are tons of sites out there that have info out there for free. to me is seems a little unethecial to charge people to get info on how to save money.

i didn't think it could be better than afc. afc has been a great help to me since i join a couple months ago. thanks to all of yall that are on here, a great bunch that will help out, and has help me learn the trick of the trade.
like i said i was just surfing around and ran across it, figure it wasn't as good as afc

AFC is great! I have saved a bunch scence joining. I have learned how to better shop around and use my coupons. But besides all that I have met some wonderful ppl on here.The tips shared alone are amazing! The match ups couldnt be better. I am so glad I am a member here.

I tried the grocery game and liked the convenience of the lists, but I didn't feel it was worth the money. The people who post the deals here are awesome!

AFC is really the only site you need. Great friendly people and posts of all the best deals!

I used GG until I found out about AFC. I used to love GG. It is mildly pricey, but it ends up paying for itself. If they're still doing the $1 for a month promotion, go ahead and try it. You'll probably discover that AFC is really all you need, but GG is so organized and handy!

The Free Trial was great when I first started because it made it easy to learn. I didn't continue after that because I discovered AFC and blogs. Now, I even have a frugal blog of my own!

Plus, there was a lot of variation in coupons and their values for my region.

I use it for grocery stores and I use AFC for Target and Walgreens. I find that the convenience is worth the money and the FREE 4 weeks give you enough time to build up your coupons and figure out what stores you want to pay for. I only pay for 2 and love it.

Let us know if there is a particular store you need a shopping list for. There are Shopping List Assistants assigned to all stores so AFC will be all you need!

I did it until I found AFC. I thought it was great but don't need it now.

I tried it for two months. By the time I was done with the first month, I figured out that I could do more on AFC. But you have to enjoy AFC to do it well, I think. If you just want to save coupons and shop at one or two stores, then the GG will be worth it. They do a lot of work for you. I ENJOY doing the work myself and finding out the deals when someone discovers them as opposed to waiting for Sunday to get a list someone else did.

I gotta tell you I looked at a lot of sites and did a lot of research before joining this one. You DO NOT have to pay to belong here, to me, that speaks volumes!!!!!! I did pay and became a supporting member (woopdeedoo 12.00) Because I felt like this site has saved me thousands, it wasn't much for me to contribute 12.00 once a year.

HOWEVER.. you DO NOT have to become a supporting member to belong here, be loved here, be welcomed here, and be supported here, to learn here or to laugh here, or to become family here. That is awesome!

I have learned more here than I could anywhere else. The forums are much easier to navigate, the people are the best, and the scenarios listed here for us to use are free.

In my own humble, honest opinion there is NO better site than AFC.

Im sorry but i would never pay for something that isnt great. AFC has a ton more to offer and all she offers is a shopping list which you have to pay for EACH store and here at AFC you get every shopping list your little heart could desire and a wonderful community and so much more!

I was a member of GG for a couple years. I enjoyed the convenice of the q's match-up's & when to play them to get the biggest bang, but then a friend told me about AFC & the fact that it's FREE!! So trying to be as frugal as possible in this economy, I was sold!! With my hubby laid off since 11/08, I can no longer justify paying for the GG. Besides it's quite interesting here I must say! Thank you AFC!

I do it for Kroger - it's worth the price to me, which is just over a dollar a week. Her Kroger list is easiest to read for me.

CVS and Walgreen's - no way. The RR/ECB shopping scenarios/matchups listed on AFC are worth their weight in GOLD. You'd never get those on TGG.

I agree with esquala, GG doesn't teach you how to roll RRs and ECBs. Only the wonderful folks here at AGC do that!!!!

I'm trying the Grocery Game right now for the free 4 week trial. I read somewhere that it is a good idea for us newbies just to learn. I do not plan to continue with the GG after the 4 weeks. I have already learned so much from AFC that I don't think I need the GG. Another issue for me with the GG is the list doesn't consider my Kroger doubles $1 coupons. There are items I got for free before trying GG that weren't on the list as free.

So, I think it will help me learn the ropes. My first official list comes out tomorrow, so we'll see!

Definitely worth it to do the free trial - they show sale prices on stuff that won't show up in the flyers. After that, just see how useful you find it. I cancelled after the free trial since some of the newsletters I get (like Deal Seeking Mom or Common Sense with Money) or information on AFC tell me what I need to know. But you can't go wrong with a free trial!
