Okay, so I'm a newbie here and a renewed couponer (it's been a few years now).

My biggest question is: How does the sale and trading of coupons here work? For instance, I've found a coupon I'm in need of and the person who has it listed as available. But, what are the basics here? I don't know the appropriate way to work this out.

Just send that person a private message (PM) asking about that particular coupon. Often being with FSOT (for sale or trade) listings tell you in the listing what they are looking for in return ($, other coupons, etc). If they don't just ask them in the message you are sending.
Also, I find that its just plain easier to use a coupon clipping service to buy coupons that I need. If you look under the "Coupons" tab at the top of the page, there is a drop down that lists some companies that sell coupons. I personally like The Coupon Clippers.

If you are wanting lots of q's from other parts of the country, try joining a train. You get to exchange q's and its a great way to make friends. Also if you are needed certain q's check FSOT list. Make an offer--the other traders are very nice here and will likely say yes!! If you have any more questions PM me--I'm more than happy to help!!
