Wand Newbie ? regarding Q insert sched.

Hi all! VERY new here & still trying 2 figure things out.
I read in a 'newbie' post that we should look @ the coupon insert schedule so that we could start collecting our coupons before the inserts come out in the Sunday paper. Is there a way to know what coupons will be in the scheduled inserts? AND what corresponding items will be on sale @ our local grocery, etc?
If not, how do u plan ahead?
Thanks much,
babytlee2

Hi,
If you look in the current coupons forum, under Sunday Supplement coupons: Sunday Supplement Coupons - Grocery Coupons & Deal Forums - A Full Cup
There are usually threads where people who manage to get early inserts post what is in them. They will vary by region so yours may be a little different.

The way I use it is to update my wishlist ahead of time so that anyone on my trains will see which ones I'm looking for. Also if it looks like it may be a good week you may want to get extra papers, or plan to order from a clipper site, or post that you are In search of certain coupons in the trading forums.

As far as what will be on sale - it depends how active your stores forum is. If you shop at CVS for example, you can find out weeks ahead of time what will be on sale. In the Shaws forum someone usually gets an ad a few days early and posts highlights or an ad scan. If there is no-one doing that for your store you can try asking at the service desk at your store before the sale to see if they will give you an early ad but they may say no.

If there turns out to be no way for you to find out ahead of time about your sales you can still try to collect more coupons for items you know you will buy a lot of if they do go on sale. Also as soon as you get your ad try ordering from the clippers or trading. There is a chance the timeing will work out and you are able to get coupons in time to use.

Another thing that can help - rainchecks! If they are out of the sale item, get a raincheck and then gather coupons before you use it.
