Yes, if you have a printer you cen go to coupon catagory and select printable coupons . you must read alot and you will catch on! But the best is to start at the home page learn rules and how to navagate around. I'm new also.

Newspaper:
Nearly every Sunday newspaper in the country has coupon inserts, (Red Plum and Smartsource are the typical) they range anywhere from $80 to $150 weekly. In our area there are two, The Oregonian and Bend Bulletin. I buy two of each. Not every insert is the same, some have much more. This potentially give you 4 of the same coupon. The cost of 4 papers for me is $8, but the coupons I get can be close to $600. Granted I can't use all the coupons, but the ones I don't use I use for trading and my train buddies.

PRINTABLES:
Multiple coupon sites to print from:
coupons.com
couponmom.com
smartsource.com
freeflys.com
centsoff.com
redplum.com
and many others

From these sites they have many coupons, each coupon has a set "number" of times you can print it. However, each computer you have has a different address. For example, I have 4 computers. If one coupon lets you print 4 times, then I can get 16 of those.

Printable coupons change weekly. Print them while you can. Register with each site. They will send you emails when therer are new coupons.

With the coupon database here on this site. Since the upgrade, it is nearly impossible to remove a coupon that is expired. You just have to look at it. Most of them are printable "campaigns" Chances are if the campaign is expired, it will run again within 60 days.

Keep in mind, nearly all companies are hurting in this economy. Couponing has become so popular. Companies spend millions of dollars surveying their customers and they have come to learn that consumers will buy their products with coupons.

Join a train! Most trains are weekly matchups. You send an envie of coupons and you receive an envie. Make sure you create and post your wishlist and ISO list.

I conduct two trains, clippin2save wishlist train and West of the Rockies train (must live West of the Rockies) both trains have room for new riders.

Go to the FSOT forum and check out what people have for trade. For instance, you get an insert and it is the $1/1 Kraft BBQ sauce and you use this product a lot, and need more coupons because Walmart has it on sale for .99, so basically its free. look for people who have posted (h) Kraft bbq sauce (h - have; w-want) pm that person and see if you can make a trade.

Create your own post with the coupons that you have for trade. You will be contacted by someone looking for that and they will trade you for what you are looking for.

BINDER:
Make sure you take the time to create and organize your binder of coupons. If you are not organized, you won't use coupons. just like American Express - never leave home without it. My husband used to get completely exasperated by me taking the binder every time I left the house. That was until he saw the savings. We all know we stop by the store unexpectedly. You have your binder, something is on sale that you normally purchase, and low and behold you have your binder and a coupon for that product. You have just saved yourself money!

This forum is a great "trading site" You can do one of two things. On the forum go to FSOT. You will see hundreds of postings of things that are for trade. (w) means want and (h) means have.

If you are looking for certain coupons or products then look at the postings of the people that have those. If you want to trade your Huggies for example then put a post (h) 5 Huggies. In the post itself, put the amount of the coupon i.e. $1/1 or $3/1 meaning $1 off of one or $3 off of one and include the expiration date and how many of that same coupon you have so it would look like this:
(5) $3/1 Huggies diaper (include any info, like Naturals only or ANY Huggies product)

and then list what you are looking for like food coupons or a certain product. Making fair trades is about the dollar amount trading or number of coupons, etc.

In your personal profile "tools" there is a place to record your trades. You can store the traders name, address, what you traded for and feedback. This is a GREAT tool! Each time you trade someone will leave you positive feedback and this gives you a trader rating score. Likewise, you leave feedback when you receive an envie from someone.

I was thinking of starting a newbie train. About 10-16 riders all newbies so they can get the hang of trading and increase their scores. If you are interested, please pm me. Hope this helps!

I've been couponing for years off and on. The hardest thing I find it organization. For a few years now I've heard about the binder but never really looked into it. Recently I came into about 10lbs. of coupons from a friend. I have clippped all that I need and now need to organize. I currently have 2 accordion type things. One hold food items and the other nonfood. I do try to carry them wherever I go but with this big bulk I have now I know it will just explode. More info on the binder would be great!
