Ok so I am a little slow! What is the difference between the two here? I do have a paypal account that is linked to my debit card/bank acct--so what would that be considered as?

paypal actually has a credit card you can apply for...(which would fall under paypal cc.) You can have your paypal account set up to pay for all your paypal purchases through your paypal credit card. When I log into paypal and see it says available funds, that shows me what is sitting in my paypal account from previous sales. When someone pays you, it sits in your available funds until you use paypal to pay for something, or you transfer it out of your available funds into a bank account. |

Personal PayPal Accounts can receive existing funds only. Personal Accounts receive this money and are charged no fees for the service. Premier PayPal Accounts and Business PayPal Accounts can receive Credit Card drawn funds, but PayPal charges them a fee of .30¢ per transaction and 2.9% of the money sent.

You can have a paypal account that is funded by a credit card and not a bank account. If you send a payment to someone w/ a personal account, they will be charged a high fee to accept the cc payment. They can only accept a handful a year or something like that.

I was also wondering this! I have friend who has PP but claims it is not tied to her debit card, she only uses it to get paid by Mystery shopping co's then she spends the money after it is available. Wait,... I am confusing myself , so I know you have to be confused. The reason I am telling you this is because when she doesn't have any funds in her account and needs to buy something online she calls me and has me send money to her PP account then she give me the cash. I tried to tell her that she doesn't have to do that, she can pay with PP and it will deduct it from her debit card. She says she is afraid to put in her debit card #online. Can anyone help me explain this to her? Thanks |
