So, I got this week's circular and there were coupons on the back to make things cheaper- like mayo and A-1, in honor of Labor Day. Well I tried using them along with my insert Qs for these items. Except the Q's in the circular were manufacturers coupons- Huh? You mean to tell me that I could take that coupon, with the ACME logo on it and everything and use it somewhere else? I find it hard to believe. If i walked into my regular grocery store with the ACME circular and those coupons, I am pretty sure I would get laughed right out of there. I know the manufacturer is reimbursing the difference in price, but if they partnered with ACME to do that, it should still be a store coupon! Sorry! Just had to vent. I must have done something right though, because my total was 21.something and I got the $5 ONYO even though I am pretty sure not everything I bought was part of the promo...

It would have been really amazing to have been able to use these great sales with MQ's (like the A-1; Kraft or Crackerbarrel Cheese; Oreos; Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs, etc.); but actually, the MQ's in the circulars made these some pretty great deals anyway ($2. for 2 pks of Oscar Meyer HD's; $3. for 2 packs of Oreos; $3. for 2 10oz blocks of Crackerbarrel cheese, etc.). Anyway, it threw me off as well. |

I agree it would be amazing deals if they were stackable Qs but still not a bad deal at all. I was able to stock up for prety cheap.

I hope for you all that this is not ACME's new strategy for Qs. My local grocery store in Texas uses what I call, "the evil little yellow Qs." These wonderful yellow MQs are posted all over the store(and can only be used in this store). Most of the "sale" items are on sale only when you use the little yellow Q...and of course, you can not combine it with any other coupon. This grocery store still has good deals and gets a lot of my regular grocery business (produce, meats, dairy), but I rarely buy any HBA or snack items there anymore. |

ONYO = On Your Next Order. In reference to the in-ad manufacturer's coupons, I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be able to use them elsewhere. A lot of us got those Kmart coupon booklets and a lot of the q's in there have the Kmart logo, though I was able to use 2 of them in CVS. If you're unsure, try it at a Uscan at a different store and see if it takes it. BTW, I just moved out of the Philly area and I miss my Acme!! |

I guess we shall have to see what Acme does! These sales were pretty great without any additional coupons; so if this was what their "regular" sale prices were to become, I wouldn't complain! They're usually not anywhere near as good as this was! (Some Examples were 2 pks of Oreos for $3.00; 2 packs of Oscar Meyer Franks for $2.00; 2 large cheese blocks or shredded cheese for $3.00) |

![]() Just to explain further about these q's: With these Manuf coupons that were in the circular, they weren't a certain cents off, like .50 off or $1.00 off; they were specific prices for specific items; for example, 2 pks of Oreos for $3.00; 2 packs of Oscar Meyer Franks for $2.00; 2 large cheese blocks or shredded cheese for $3.00, etc. So using them at another store wouldn't really benefit you in getting a better price; as, if they worked at another store, then they would still be 2 pks of Oscar Meyer HD's for $3.; etc.; know what I mean? (I'm not sure if there is technically a different name for a q that is a specific price for a specific item; but if so, these would be it! )

The Pathmark stores in the Philadelphia area accept other grocery store's coupons. For example Genardi had some in-ad coupons for pasta at $ 0.69, a week or so ago and I was able to show that coupon to the check out person. She immediately recognized it as a Genardi coupon and gave me that price. So even though the coupon gives a set price for an item you may still find a way to use it. The nice thing for me was that I only went to one store and was able to get the (coupon) specials of another, saving me a trip.
