So... I have only belonged for just under a month... I've become a little OCD regarding my coupons, but I am saving quite a bit... When I started, I had checked into and registered with a couple different savings forum groups... I am now an official AFC addict. Nothing so far compares. The people are great and the forums are wonderfully helpful and informative...

However, this is not the main purpose of this post... I wanted to share the most valuable lesson I have learned so far here...

At first, I was so caught up in the deals that I overspent. Now I know in order to stockpile, in the beginning you will spend more... this makes sense. But I was spending money over my budget for good deals that wouldn't need to utilized for a few months. So... I was reading the Stockpiling 101 (I think that was the forum link...) and a person had written this in their post...

(I can't quote, cuz I can't find the thread now... but this is the general idea...)

There will always be good deals, and they are cyclical... If you don't catch the deal this time around, there will be more deals tomorrow or next week.
(I didn't do the "poster" justice with my wording... but it's the idea)

This runs through my head everytime I see a deal I just gotta have because it's an AWESOME savings, but I don't have the extra money to spend on it... It has saved my budget, several times over already...
