Hi Bridget

Yes, I have vertigo too. It is worse in the summer with my allergies, my earcanals close up and I'm useless for about 4-6 hours. I've found that if I feel it coming on, I drink an antihistamine very quickly and it usually helps. It is horrible, everything is always moving and the slightest movement makes it even worse. It got so bad that I would have 2 good days and the third I knew I would be out of commission. Gave up looking for work - who would hire me?

The dr gave me some excersizes/movements to do with my head and body to try to keep my balance in check. It works either rather well, or it makes you very nauseous and vomit.

Try keeping him sleeping at a 45 degree angle, no up-side-down with the head, ever, no lying flat.

Thanks Bonnie for the mention of the balance disorder clinics - I didn't know there was such things. I will look into it.
