Wondering if we can start a thread with ideas for things to keep kids (let's say ages 2 - 10) occupied on long car or plane rides. We have a couple trips coming up so I would love to get my arsenal ready (and if I need to buy something - I can have time to find it on sale!)

Here's some to start:

1) DVD player
2) Handheld video game
3) Alphabet game (car)
4) License Plate game (car)
5) Doodle Pro (magnetic drawing board)
6) Snacks
7) Reading books
8) promise of a hotel/campground w/a pool (car!)
