The controversy corner is the main debate area of AFC. Topics that are controversial in nature are placed in this forum of AFC.

We do have a few rules to prevent things from getting out of hand:

1. No name calling aimed towards other posters. Also no “flame” wars or personal attacks or slamming other members on their personal beliefs.

2. No foul language. All areas of AFC are PG-13 including the CC.

3. The debating will be kept in this forum and not spill over to other areas of the board. Do NOT mention or insinuate anything that was said in the CC out in the open forums.

4. All topics are open for debate but any thread can be locked or removed entirely at an administrator's discretion. This is not open for debate. Only an administrator can lock/remove a thread.

5. If there is foul language, personal attacks, name-calling, or flaming, an administrator will edit said no-no out of the post. An administrator will NOT edit a post due to conflict of opinions/views/thoughts/theories. Only an administrator can edit a post.

Reporting Posts in the CC

You should only report a post in the CC if you personally have been abused/attacked. If you use the report button and we deem it was unnecessary, you will receive a warning. If you do it a second time, you will be removed from the CC.

If 3 of your posts are reported in the CC and are deemed to be valid reports, you will be banned from the CC.


Please, if the debate gets too heated for you, walk away! Also think before you post, it is much easier to just not post something than to try and apologize for it later.


IMPORTANT!!!

In order to gain access to the controversy corner, the user must be an active part of AFC. To be an active part of AFC, you should be on the boards for at least 3 months and have contributed at least 100 legtimate posts. If you have met the guidelines and can follow the rules, click here to join the Controversy Corner group and do the following:

1. Find the User Group that is called "Controversy Corner".
3. Check the button "Join Group" next to that group.
4. You will be directed to a page that says "Request to Join Group: Controversy Corner"
5. You will be asked to state your reason for this request. Here you should type in the words "I agree". By typing I agree, you are confirming you have read and agree to the rules stated above.
6. Click "Send Request"

The group leaders will manually approve your membership and upon approval you will be granted access to the forum. Please be patient as this could take a day or two.
