The reason it is not calculating $6 is twofold:
1) Sometimes people have coupons of different values for the same product. It would be difficult to enter this if the count of coupons was multiplied by the coupon(s) value.
2) The coupon count itself is actually there to count the total number of coupons because, last time I checked, CVS cash registers will error if you have more coupons than items. In an effort to prevent a slowdown at the register, this allows the user to see if they could toss in another item.
