I would make sauce with them then freeze. I don't think I would bother with freezing tomatoes because when they thaw they become too watery. I would cut them up, put in a strainer to let out all the excess water they have then cook with some garlic and onion, season to taste then freeze.

As for the basil, my mom and I wash it, air dry it then store in a Rubbermaid tub.
