Yes, the "Double Coupons Every Day!" is deceptive!! At the back of their weekly ad, in very fine print at the bottom, it does state like PP says, and they are only doubling up to a $1.
I was in the Ralphs by my house this morning around 9am to take advantage of their "Mix & Match Mega Event ~ Buy 10 Get $5 Off" (I have another posting about this) and when I went to check out, I was the only customer, and there were 3 cashiers/baggers at the 1 register. When I was just about done, another Ralph's employee came up behind me to pay for his purchases and he checked his watch and said "what time is it? are we even open?"  Yeah, the store was THAT empty 
Let's hope they get the message fast and revert back to doubling coupons the way they use to. I shoulda suggested that the "extra" employees take a 2 min drive to Pavilions around the corner to see how busy they were  |
