We got down to the wire, and cancelled our internet and expanded cable. We just have basic cable ($15 a month) and paid $5 a month for the on demand box. The box is great because it has tons of prerecorded shows and movies for free, and also stuff for kids too! I don't miss the big cable package at all, I never had time to watch it anyways with a 15 month old. We also cancelled our internet and split the cost with our next door neighbors. We pay them for the internet and each pay 1/2. So our monthly bill went down from $92 to $35 ish, $57 a month savings. We don't miss any of it!
