The most important thing to know about visitor messaging is that by default they are viewable to EVERYONE!!!!

To disable visitor messaging, go to User CP on the toolbar, select edit options. Under the messaging and notifications area, there is a visitor messaging section. Look for the following and uncheck the box:

If you do not want to receive visitor messages, you may disable the visitor messaging system. Enable Visitor Messaging


You are able to change a setting to where only admins and "friends" can view and post to your visitor message board. To do this go to User CP on the toolbar, select edit options. Under the messaging and notifications area, there is a visitor messaging section. Look for:

You may limit the usage of your visitor messages to just moderators and your contacts.Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators

Check the box to allow only "friends" and mods to view your visitor message board.

Other Points of Interest Related to Visitor Messaging:

• When you receive a new visitor message, your blue light up in the upper right hand corner will start flashing.
• To view your visitor message board, click on User CP on the toolbar, then view my profile.
