I clip what I will use and put those coupons in my small file. I clip the rest of the coupons and sort them into envelopes based on different categories (frozen, paper/pets, cleaning, etc). I use those extra coupons in trains and trades, though many times I find out about deals that I can use those coupons for, even though I normally wouldn't have used them. That is how we ended up with excedrin, too much ky, glade plug-ins, French's mustard, etc. You never really know when a coupon come in handy.

I also try to trade as many of the current week's coupons that I know I won't use. That way, when I clip them (usually the Sat. after the week they come out), I won't have as many to clip and file.
