That totally works too, qponmom3! I would put the items on the cart in $5 amounts and placed the coupon right on top. That seemed to make the transaction easier to follow. The cheapest things I found to top things off, were the single serve philadelphia cream cheese for 80 cents or the mac n cheese for 88 cents. Those are handy when you are close but not quite there. Or mix an item from one department (Velveeta for $3.50) with an item from another (turkey hot dogs for $1.50). Anybody else have any great combos, please post! I know prices vary based on location but it would still help. I know a family sized Oscar Mayer Deli Style with a smaller one cost me a total of 12 cents. So that is a combo I used quite a bit.
