I love all the posts!
We haven't eaten out in a restaurant in nearly 18 months with the exception of our anniversary. Rather than eating out with friends/family, we invite them over for dinner. We don't miss it either with all the good food we get with couponing. My DH has been going with me shopping lately and gets so excited about our savings.
We plan and combine our car trips and never go to the store just for one thing.
Practice good hygiene and home remedies, i.e., gargling with salt water.
Use the library to check out DVDS.
Color my own hair.
Clip our dog's nails and bathe them ourselves.
Have a programmable thermostat to automaticaly decrease in the evening. Wear sweatshirts, sweaters, or layers in the house in the winter, along with houseshoes to keep feet warm.
Remove shoes when entering house to keep carpet clean longer.
Cancelled our cell phones and bought trac phones. Saves us $600+ per year over the cell plan we had.
Not a frugal tip but good advice: We give to others and share the many blessings we have received.
