Start with orange around the flip flops band... then keep looping the orange downward... till you get to the front. glue to the front edge... Then work backwark with the white to create part of the head... In the last row, you will have to run a piece of white ribbon and glue to each side of the sandal. This would almost be like crocheting.... Add the googly eyes.. and I think you will have it...
So you actually have me curious.. I may have to go get a pair and see if I can do this and post the instructions and pictures... | lhart- you have me wondering how these would turn out- I think I need a visual- I think you need to make some and mail them to me for inspection  ....seriously, it is hard to visualize what you are saying about how to do it,but I see them in my head- for the most part! I thought they would be great for my DD, and with the craze of flip flops, i thought they would be great for craft shows...ebay, etc! And then we could expand to other animals- school mascots, whatever!
