Yes this is true but is also the time of year that ants are looking for any standing water around the house. What I mean by this is, if you wash the dishes and there is water left at the bottom of your sink then they will be after that.
All these things will keep them away for a while but it is not a permanent solution.
I talked to my hubby who is a pest control tech and he deals with these types of issues everyday. He told me that Terro does work. But it will not keep them away forever.
