Had a recent couponing issue at FL, so I called corporate for a copy of their coupon rules. Still have a difficult time believing that they consider "one per purchase" and "one per transaction" to be the same thing but got it in black and white from corporate. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
Thank you for your recent phone call. We sincerely appreciate you contacting us.
Our company will gladly accept manufacturer and store coupons, provided they scan in our register system. We will however decline the use of single-sided coupons, offering a free product, a coupon that has a higher dollar amount than the product, a competiorors coupon or if the coupon apperars to be froudulently generated, copied or reproduced. Unfortunately, we will only accept one coupon per item. I hope you find this information beneficial and to apologize for andy inconvenience. Please feel free to speak to the store manager with any concerns you have.
Additionally, in response to the questions you had, I researched and have been informed that "per transaction" and "per purchase" mean the same thing. This means that you can only use one of those coupons per trip to the register. You can also use as many coupons as you choose to as long as the coupon does not state otherwise: ie one coupon per purchase, order, or transaction. Our system is not set up to adjust the price on the coupon, therefore we do not accept coupons for more than the price of the item.
We apologize for any confusion this has caused in our local store and hope this will help clear it up. We hope that you will continue to shop using your coupons in our stores.
I guess I won't be combining the Flip with a manufactures coupon nor will I be purchasing more than one of identical items with a coupon (according to their rules of considering one per purchase the same as one per transaction). Yes, she clearly understood my question. I even gave her an example and no I wasn't purchasing a buggy full. I was purchasing only 4 identical items and tried to use 4 coupons that stated one per purchase and it was on the correct product and yes I did talk to the manager who "allowed me to use them this time". Think he just wanted me out of there since I was holding up the line and customers behind me were changing to another line. (Quite embarrasing for me but I tried to stand my ground thinking I was right)
This is a real bummer for me since I have started shopping at FL again after reading about everyones great deals on AFC. Guess I won't be getting in on those great deals everyone else is getting. Hard to believe that each store is so different.
