Ok, so here's what happened yesterday. I had printed out one of the Target coupon policies from this site and had a post-it with the K keys they're supposed to push.
Target store 1 - (The one I called before and CS said corporate was wrong.) Got 10 Tides and a small tote ($1.99). Cashier wouldn't take the coupons. I expected a problem, so made sure I was nice and sweet (not that I'm normally mean, but you know what I'm saying!) and asked for a manager because I had this problem before and corporate said I could use them. Manager comes, with an attitude right away after she looked at the coupons. I said that I had already called corporate and they said I could use them, the coupon had to be adjusted. She said... "This guest is being RUDE, I'm going to take her to customer service." !!! With other customers in line behind me!

I assure you I was. not. being. rude.
She gets to the desk and can't find the 800 number. I had it on my print out, but figured I'd let her look for it. She finally figures out what she's doing, calls, explains the situation, then says "Oh. Ok, fine." And hands me the phone. He's very nice, apologizes, says it's no problem. She hangs up and is pounding on the keyboard changing the coupons to $0.97. She gives me the total, I had her the money and say "I wasn't trying to be rude, I just wanted to use my coupons." She says, "Here's your change, have a nice day MA'AM." I couldn't help it, I said "Thank you for calling and finding out you were wrong, I hope you have a wonderful day too." Ugh!!!
Target 2 - The one I originally posted about. I found the youngest, newest cashier I could find. She was nice, and said she didn't think I could use them. I had my paper ready and said I had that problem before and this is what corporate said they had to do and told her the K4 then K2. She said "OH! Ok, no problem!" However, I had just the Tide (10 at $0.97) so when it got down to the last two coupons, it wouldn't let her do it because the total before tax was $0.70. So I used 8 coupons on 10 Tides and paid just over $1.
Walmart - Another nice cashier. She tried different ways and register wouldn't let it go through. She called someone else over who said someone tried this last week and they were told no. I told her it was probably me, I had called corporate and got a call back from the store manager who said to come in and try it again because it should work. Luckily she was there and came up. Very nice woman, but I could tell she wasn't going to push it through. She said it could risk their contract with Proctor & Gamble if they push it through because then the totals won't match and it'd be coupon fraud. I know from what I've read on here that that isn't the case, but was not going to argue. Like I said, she was very nice and was the asst store manager. She suggested I call PG and see what they say and give her a call back and let her know. So I just might.
And I just may call Target corp back and complain about that manager at store 1.
