Hi Ladies. I want to tell you that, yes, it is a little easier when you have stores that double, but you can definitely still save even without them. There are a lot of folks on this site without doubling stores. I have been couponing for about 12 or 13 years, but until about 6 years ago, no stores in my area doubled. THere are oodles of deals to be had. If you are like me before the serious couponing, I rarely shopped at pharmacies because I thought they were so much higher than other stores that there was no point. Just about a year ago, I really learned how awesome the deals are at Walgreens (lovingly called Wags) and CVS. You would be amazed how often you can walk out of those stores with free or nearly free items and Extra Bucks or Register Rewards to boot!
Start buy going to the forums on this website of the stores in your area. Read the posts of deals that people point out. You will usually find out the best deals that week and where to find the coupons you need to get the deals. When you combine coupons with things like BOGO sales, clearance, and just a plain good deal at your store, you will be amazed at how much you will save! There are often things that it is hard to get really really cheap - fresh meat and fresh produce are a little harder since there aren't usually coupons out for those things. Now frozen produce - you can often really clean up on it! I hope this helps some. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to PM me! I would love to help if I can! Now hit those forums for your stores!!
