Wow, I am totally shocked after my quick stop at PM today!
So, my little brother asked me to make him hamburgers. I figured I would test the waters with their "accept competitors' coupons" policy.
I had a printable from Stop and Shop for $5 off a $15 meat purchase. I went up to customer service and asked if it was okay to use it. They said, "Of course!"
I walk over to the meat case and see that ground beef is on sale for 1.78/lb. I thought I'd just buy $15 worth for $10, which was still pretty sweet!
Then, I thought: Would PM define it as $15 after or before sales? I shuffle over to CS again, and she says before.
JACKPOT!
Anyway, the transactions went like this:
3.3 lbs of ground beef, original price $14.86 (.14 short!!) on sale for $4.xx
1 young chicken, on sale for .83/lb, plus managers special $1 off = $2.26
The $1 off managers special coupon went through twice for some reason, so
-coupon
total OOP:
83 cents!
2nd transaction
Chicken breasts, original price 15.xx, on sale for 1.99/lb so 7.xx for pkg
and hamburger buns (.99), of course

-coupon
total OOP:
3.80
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I knew about this earlier, and I wish these Q's didn't expire today!!!!!!
Anyway, if Stop and Shop releases them again, go get some REALLY cheap meat!!!
