I am with everyone, throw the tantrum, it will make you feel better and clear your head! You didn't say what kind of job you are looking for but you may have to think outside the box a little bit to make some extra$$$.

If he has a good job with benefits at least they let you know about the cut ahead of time. Figure out what you can cut now, keep on couponing and check some of the forums on here on how to make a little extra $$. Can you sell some things on ebay, have a garage sale?
I know in my area children's birthday parties are big, can you face paint, make cute favor bags, offer help as a party helper? Check your local farmer's market, see if some of the venders would like help on Saturday (busy day in our area) in return for produce or better yet a flower vendor that could trade out in flowers...
Tell EVERYONE you know you are wanting to make some extra and are looking for a job. Mention it to the cashier at the grocery, the bank, you name it. You never know where the job lead will come from.
Are you in school? Live near a college? Tutors in my area make good money, usually cash and you don't have to have a college degree to tutor here. A lot of students need help over the summer, even if it is just going over spelling lists, simple math, reading.

Mommy's helpers here make $10=$15 cash, driving kids to lessons, the pool, etc at our local private school. (I know, it's crazy, but when both parents work it helps, we have a large Walmart vendor employee base here).
