I think it can be overwhelming for everyone when first getting started! It is ok. We pride ourselves on being a helpful and friendly community of members, and we are always willing to help. One way that helps some people get started is to just pick one or two local stores and follow those forums really closely. That way, you can get a better idea of how people are combining coupons and sales. Also, most of our stores have a Shopping List feature which is a list of current sales matched with any coupons. This makes it easy to see what is on sale, what is a great deal, and what coupons might be available on the item. You can find the Shopping List link at the top of most of the store forum pages.
Do you have other specific questions that we can help with? Feel free to ask away, and don't get discouraged. It takes a little time to "learn" how to maximize your savings, but once you get the hang of it, it is so easy (and addicting!).
