 Thanks for the PSA! I'm a teacher too and I always appreciate donations...though they are rare in my school. To me, it seems like there are way more donations in more affluent neighborhoods. I live in a middle income neighborhood and I hear neighbors/acquaintances talk about getting a lot of donations to their schools, as well as having waiting lists to help as teachers aids and chaperones for fieldtrips. I can't imagine that in my school. We're always in need of supplies, as well as chaperones for fieldtrips. So, if you happen to be one of the lucky ones in a more affluent neighborhood and your school is swimming in donations, please consider donating supplies to a less fortunate school that could really use the extras.
