Last week, I dutifully printed my Internet coupons 1 to a page, gathered my other coupons and my $5 off $25. Like I was told the week before. When I went to check out, the cashier swiped my $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon, then started on my other coupons. When she got to the Internet coupons (all valid), she scanned the 1st (it scanned) and then said, "I'm sorry but we can only accept up to $5 in Internet coupons." When I pointed out that the system had already accepted $7 in IPs, she didn't care. So, I gathered up my coupons and walked out the door. The first time I've ever walked out on an order.
So, today I decided that I would check the clearance shelves at this same store. I found Crest Glide floss for $1.40. I had $1 coupon (NOT Internet). When I checked out, the cashier said, "I'm sorry, but since this item is on clearance, you can't use a coupon." Before I could grab my coupon and head out the door without my purchase again, she said, "But I'll take it this time." AND | I guess that is exactly how I feel. But I am lucky that there are several other stores interested in my little bit of cash to spend. So, that is fine. I wish they would just POST their coupon policy so you know what you are doing before you get to the register since it changes so frequently in their quest to keep us all honest. Just totally crazy.
I bet Customer Service is probably thinking another couponer complaining when I sent in the email!
