Some coupons have printed on them "Do not double" and yet most of the time Harris Teeter's register will go ahead and double the coupons. I just hand over all that I have and the register decides what it will double and what it will not double.

In our area, as kimmy said, HT and Lowes will double coupons up to .99 ea (.50 x 2 = 1.00, .35 x 2 = .70), but a $1 coupon will not double.

Food Lion does not double coupons. However, if you do comparison shopping, sometimes the stores that do not double have the items priced at a price that would be comparable to other grocers who do double. So if you have the opportunity to price compare and your kiddies will let you keep your mind on the task at hand, you might be able to shop at more than one store to get the best deal.

A sweet deal is when a store has BOGO specials that you have coupons for. Even sweeter are the rare occasions when the stores have triple coupon days and you can get a BOGO and triple coupons on the items.
