Ok so here's the dish and this came straight from one of the my coporate people. We are to make customer service our number one priority. If we have to type in a .50 coupon to make the customer happy we are to do it. If you have a problem with a cashier not wanting to take the coupon ask for a supervisor and if you still don't get anywhere ask for a manager. You can also call the customer care line and they are VERY good at helping out.
Bottom line: As long as the coupon matches the item the cashier should force it through.
