We have also begun to stockpile food items. One of the things we did was to ensure that all dry goods are in plastic so that critters don't get to them. I realize this isn't an issue for everyone, but we live in a rural community. Also, if possible keep flour, cake mixes, pastas, etc. in a fridge as they will develop bugs. Refrigeration will not hurt these items, but it will curtail the mealy bugs or flour beatles, or whatever they are called. Also, don't forget that you may want to ensure you have a supply of water.

I'm going to try to buy with coupons as much as possible to save money, but I'm sure this endeavor will cost several hundreds of dollars.

If anyone has printable coupons they'd like to share for any of these items, feel free to post and I'll put them next to the item in the shopping list!

Thanks again everyone!
