I also had my first go at this on Sunday. I saved 27% on our receipt. I figured I did a pretty good job considering I didn't plan my meals around the ads and went in armed with only $5 worth of coupons for soap and a list of items on sale for $1.00 (plus I bought a couple clothing items!  ) The total OOP was $72.21 and my savings total was $26.64.
Hopefully, next time I can get my savings percentage closer to the 40-50% range!
