I always use q's on clearance items, I can get them for free most of the time! They've always had to enter the price in manually, then when they go to scan the q, it beeps. Sometimes I've had cashiers that will look through my bags to make sure I got that item, and they'll manually enter the q amount, and sometimes they don't look and just manually enter it anyway. Sometimes you'll even get overage!
