This isn't taking a competitor's coupon so much as it is accepting a manufacturer coupon...they accept ALL manufacturer coupons assuming you bought the proper item as dictated on the coupon. The coupon needs to say manufacturer coupon and include a redemption address so they can get their $$.
Coupons can be combined with Avenu to make much better savings.
2 coupons can be used in a B1G1 free sale...one per item. Some of the best savings at Jewel can be found this way. | I wish my jewel would take the Wags catalina coupons. I have tried several times with different cashiers. Next time I will try self check out!!! I know they will work there!
