Beth | Beth, you will need a SURGE PROTECTOR for your son's computer, not a power strip. A power strip doesn't offer any protection for the computer. It could get fried in the event of a surge through your home's wiring. (Can be caused by weather or even by your power company.) A surge protector will protect the computer from getting fried (usually using a fuse)..  |
