You are right about reading the fine print, but each certificate has a phone number to call for specifics. Several new restaurants were added since I looked last time in my area so I decided to call a newly added BBQ joint to see if we could do a take out...big Ohio State Football game this weekend. The certificate said eat in but when I called he said no problem about take out. So I will feed all the rabid Ohio State fans BBQ for $10 (plus the initial $2). I couldn't make that amount of food that cheap.
I do find though that the "better" restaurants limit the number of certificates they offer and so they are never around when the discount comes up.
One tip, if you know you are going somewhere for a trip, get the zip code and see which restaurants are offering. The certificates are good for a year and so using them on vacation is one thing I am going to try to do, especially if I know the area and the restaurants. Happy eating!!
