My favorite memory involving afc happened on Black Friday… I was prepared with my shopping list and qs in hand at CVS waiting gathering all my goodies…!!!! Up walks a fellow couponer who was lost… I pulled out my handy dandy droid… Opened the AFC app and blew her mind…!!! I was able to chat with her for 30+ mins (as we waited for midnight) and got her to join AFC.

I joined afullcup.com after I had surgery and was sitting around with the computer and thought to myself I am going to start couponing. Well it has been 4 months I am having a great time. Plus now I do a lot of the freebie stuff too. It is like christmas every day in my mailbox. I
sing Christmas carols on the way in from the mailbox. Thank you for your help I have learned a lot from this website.

Why I joined AFC was to learn everything I could about couponing and saving money. AFC has been very helpful!

My favorite memory is the day I found the Rite-Aid forum (also the day I discovered AFC). Back in the first two weeks of May 2011 I went to Rite-Aid nearly every day because there were so many deals to get.

My favorite memory: A build-a-bear $5 off a $10 bear! I was able to send my niece in texas her own bear to stuff down there and suprise my daughter with a “no reason” gift to stuff as well!!

I joined AFullCup to help my family save money. I am a mother of a 2 and a half year old and 1 year old twins so you can imagine the diaper bill every month. After my husband got laid off we were really struggling to keep our heads above water. I had been couponing for a few
months but the savings weren’t helping as much as I had hoped. Thats when I found AFullCup and I haven’t stopped saving big money since. This forum has made all the difference in my efforts to save our family money. I cant thank everyone on here that has taken the time to help new couponers like myself. I am forever grateful to this forum and all its members xoxo

Stores Advised by CIC to NOT Participate with TLC Show Extreme Couponing

Posted 05-29-2012 at 05:07 PM by Rasha

The Coupon Information Center (CIC) in anticipation of the return of the TLC show “Extreme Couponing” had posted a retailer alert in regards to participation on the show.

The CIC advises retailers that they should exercise caution when considering participation with the show ‘Extreme Couponing,’ including allowing filming at retail sites.”

“Some of the “guests” on the show, including at least one minor, have used counterfeit coupons and engaged in other practices in violation of State or Federal laws, manufacturers’ coupon redemption policies, and/or retailers’ coupon acceptance policies. Retailers may not be reimbursed for counterfeit coupons received from the show’s participants.”

“Some consumers have reportedly filed complaints against the show with the Federal Communications Commission… The CIC has previously contacted The Discovery Channel to express these and related concerns. As of this date, The Discovery Channel, to our knowledge, has not taken any action to remedy the situation.”

“In summary, ‘Extreme Couponing’ exposes its retail participants to potential legal issues and counterfeit coupons, which may not be reimbursed, as well as potential adverse publicity.”

You All Were Right

To everyone that has complained about the show, we just want to say, “You were right.” Even the CIC recognizes the major issues with “Extreme Couponing.” And since they’ve not been able to stop TLC, they took their warnings to the stores. Though clearly they didn’t all listen considering the new season has aired.

Speak Out

Speaking of stopping TLC, on Facebook we asked today, “‘LIKE’  if you did NOT watch Extreme Couponing last night!” and received 200+ responses. Thanks for responding!

(Thanks Brandie for bringing this to our attention!)
